Thank you Wolfenstark! Love wolves.

It's funny- I feel as if I am in an opium den with my vape. I'm trying to use it like a cig but I find I am vaping more than I would smoke- and I have read that it is normal as the nicotine does not enter the body as it would with cigs

hang onto your wallet; this could turn into a wild ride!
take your time; the first 3 months can be spendy

Your inhaling a lot less poisons than smoking.
The nic level may take some trial and error depending on how much and what strength you used to smoke and the set-up you are using.
Some deliver more vapour than others and most people as they progress onto devices that deliver more vapour do lower the amount of nic in the liquids they vape.

if you find yourself constantly refilling and recharging you need a bigger battery system and bigger tank.

I just checked: I have over 10 18650 batteries.
18650 batteries are 18mm diameter by 65mm long.
They are the standard on many battery tubes/boxes for vape gear, including vamo, sigelei, ipv, innokin stuff, provari.

If your starter evod type setup is inadequate, the more updated starter kit is like an istick30 and a nautilus or atlantis or subtank.
Thank You edyle! Great info! Still need to do research to know what 18650 batts are. Are all you guys electricians? How do you all know this?

Ms. Comstock,
As long as you're using a regulated mod, you do not need to understand the physics to enjoy a good vape. Regardless if it's VV or VW, the machine will handle ohms law for you. Just klick it up or down until you find the sweet spot.
If you later decide to move into unregulated territory with a "mechanical mod", you'll need to know this stuff to be safe.

As mentioned the vv/vw doesn't matter as they are related by the resistance of your atomiser.
More a thing of getting the watts/volts you are comfortable with for the atomiser you are using.
Regulated Mods like the coolfire and mvp's ( many out there) are good for safety as they won't fire if theres a problem with the atomiser.

18650 batteries are like a standard in vape gear;
more specifically, it's 18650 IMR high drain lithium batteries.
To answer your two questions: I am not an electrician. I do have a degree in Physics. And my first job was a teacher for 5 years.

From what I read, I think you need to look at replaceable battery mods, like a vamo, elvt, svd, ipv; the little ego sized batteries are only 1000 mah capacity, but the replaceable battery mods use 18650 batteries which are typically 2000 mah capacity.

On the other hand the istick, and mvp, are like big ego batteries; they are not replaceable battery mods using the 18650 batteries but they are good for new vapers because there is less to worry about to get started, but they will die out in a year or 3.

Two things you need to address:

Bigger Battery
  • Higher MAH = more stored energy. (Get a device with a higher MAH rating.)
  • Caution: The more watts you need to fire your coil, the faster the battery will drain.
Bigger Tank
  • You need to get a tank with a higher capacity (measured in ml).
  • Caution: The more watts you need to fire your coil, the faster you will use up your juice.
My recommendation
  • MVP3 : huge battery, you can even use it to recharge other electronics. Fires up to 30W meaning you can use virtually any tank. It's extremely safe and durable. Mine was sitting in water for a month, had the charger rust inside of it, and it still worked.
  • Nautilus : The go to non-sub ohm tank. On an MVP3 it will be satisfying to use. Flavourful and great sized clouds.
This video was made for you:

OK - I was going to sleep but thought I would look to see if I missed anything! Lo and behold- thank you dom qp! Now I am off to sleep!
