I had an infraction soon after I joined. We all make mistakes, some more than others. We're not oblivious to that fact and generally can overlook most things. That's why the Rule Reminder was created.

I can't really go into details about my infraction (because oldsoldier is chomping at the bit to get me on something) but it was meant as a joke (remember I' j0ker ). Of course I was P.O.ed when I found it had been deleted, I was like "WTH, y'all can't take a joke". I will tell you this, the post had to do with vaping and ......, I'll let you imagine the rest! I finally understood my mistake and moved on.




Actually, it's more that I'm so slow. By the time I finish typing my replies (full of screaming and obscenities) I've forgotten why I was mad, I start over with my reply and it all comes out nicely

Don't forget about Misty, she's actually the staff member with the most tenure. Of course I know how she could be overlooked, she's like that little mouse in the corner, so cute and quiet!

I swear I have done the same thing. Sometimes after reading what I wrote I realize that all the negative energy has been extracted from my body and frozen in the screen. After seeing it staring back at me I realize it would be more cathartic to just delete it. I like to think of it as my version of the Navajo sand painting that gets destroyed after the healing process has occured.

But to be on the thread topic, Joker is fair.

p.s. If a moderator could answer me this: Am I allowed to send you all pm's? I know you are all busy, but I wanted to ask a question that didn't quite get answered by the veterans.

Don't send a question to all mods in hopes of getting an answer, it's counterproductive when all us get the same message. Pick one, send the question. We might not be able to answer your question but we'll be sure it's forwarded the right person. We each have our own area of responsibility, so it's better if the answer comes from the staff member that's responsible.

My two cents.

I would guess he probably is not always fair. Really, call a spade a spade. None of us are probably fair all the time. Sure we want to be. But like the rest of the population we have opinions, moods, and just sometimes a bad day.

Joker told me I was unverifiable (without jumping through hoops) And of course I didn't like that. But heck a person has to be smart enough to figure that its not about me, or them. Its about protecting the membership as best you can. Really ECF even attempting to verify people just adds more responsibility on them. Personally I think its great. Its insane, but great none the less.

I mod on some smaller forums. Volunteer work. And I am sure to tick folks off from time to time. But heck they can go pack sand. The mods are only trying to keep the forum from devolving into some teen flame fest. Or keeping the spammers from overwhelming the servers. If you get ticked off at a mod. And they are not following you around flaming your posts. Then IMHO its not about you. Suck it up and move on.

I voted unfair. Just because I dont know anyone who can be fair all the time.
