I live in Northern Ohio and today I glanced at the large sign in front of the store to see what was on special at Walgreen. To my surprise, in large red lights they showed "electronic cigarette $8.00.
I went inside and talked to the woman behind the counter...she said that she believes that all Walgreen
stores are selling them. she also said that the cart is the same as 2 packs of cig's (bullcrap).
The label is "Blu"...the buyer gets 1 thin ecig with a small cart attached...2 flavors...reg. or menth.
Kind of looks as though its catching on even more now in the retail market.

Dangit... I wish I had got in on that. Two years ago, after hearing my first commercials on ecigs, I went to Walgreens, CVS, and Wallyworld, looking for a PV. Finally found a mall kiosk and lost my behind.

If I had been enterprising enough to work a distribution channel and get those products in two years ago :)

Now if they'd only sell better PVs. Not sure why I'd care, as I've got the ECF, and a terrific group of suppliers! They'll get my business from here on out!

It's too bad that vendors 'o crap are hopping on the ecig bandwagon without a clue of the market or even what they are selling. Thank the ECF and other folks that know what's up for being a legit place to get the facts. I'm almost at my 2 year anny without a cig and it's because of ECF...that reminds me, I have to contribute like I did in the beginning:blush:

I'm inclined to believe they know it's crap and don't care. They buy the cheapest crap they can find on alibaba and sell it with a huge markup. The quality is crap so it's more disposable than the quality products we buy, but that means frequent repeat sales of the overpriced crap. Which translate to even larger bulk orders with a cheaper per piece cost, which further boosts the profit margins.

They will sell the lowest quality the market will bear, for the largest price the market will bear. It's simple economics.

The real wonder I have is that pretty much every major city or town has at least one or two smoke shops or head shops. Why these folks aren't getting into the e-cig/vapor market makes no sense at all to me. They are the perfect distribution channel for them. They got tobacco product customers already and a market niche.

If they are in the vape market at all though, its very limited. You'll find some cig20 stuff and a bunch of knock off stuff. I think if they could just get some customers to try it out, they'd have a steady repeat business.

One of the major reasons E-cigs are sucessfull is forums like this..The support system, the friendship, advice, the quick replies for fixes. You don't get that with a shop..the owners rarely know the products that are not thier major lines..like pipes and tobacco's.
Shops are there to make a profit..bottom line. I am sure the e-cig people are there to make a profit too..but a few of them, like V4L are in it for more and have the know how to make it work for us!
