There was an article in the Wallstreet Journal over the weekend titled "Vice's New Lame Devices" authored by Holly Finn. It features a picture of an ego style battery with a ce4 style clearomizer. The articles only real mention of ecigs is in reference to the amount of businesses blu and njoy did last year. There is much more talk about something called pluming, which involves heating tobacco leaves, I'm assuming this device is more commonly used for heating other things. This article is conveying negativity towards ecigs without actually giving any information about them. The article resulted in me having to defend myself to my parents when they handed me the paper and said,"look what the wallstreet journal says about ecigs," and so on.

I would link the article, but wsj wants you to log in to read it. Maybe someone else has access.

Pluming is a rumour at the moment, a device to heat tobacco so providing nic without smoke. It's not exactly a vapourizer like the ones for medicinal administration of a well known medicinal plant. It's in development for about 2 years atm and I can't see it coming to market anytime soon. When it dos'e it will be a new tobacco product, not an alternative to smoking.
I think they will want to see if harm reduction gets embraced as a policy before committing a marketing budget to this while they can buy out ecig companies.

I remember the product coming to market. Posh "tasting" parties, hip events designed to cause a lot of interest. If memory serves me it was a gas powered device using little aluminum "pods" of tobacco and flavors. There were a few posts on how to refill the pods with carto filler and eliquid. Looks like they have an electric model these days.
