This is like a "it's school time" thread, lol.

I've been vaping a reo with an rm2 since Christmas. It's been the most enjoyable thing to use. Need a fill? Super quick, no tools. Filled up but having cool problems? NO BIG DEAL (huge improvement from my Kayfun and have to drain the tank) just go peak at it, no loss endured.

Everything about the reo has been great.

Now, (of course) I want more. LOL a vapers quest is never done, is it?

    So, how can I?

Getting ready to order brand new AW IMR 18650s. Any AMP recommendations?

Considering having my Igo-M modded to bottom feed. For those not familiar with that atomizer, it's make by UD and got three posts, up to four coils, and three huge air holes. Haven't used it in a while (I'm a lazy dripper...) but the last time I did build it, it was like .6 ohms. I'm not even sure MY reo can sub ohm. How can my reo sub ohm?

Yea, I think those are my two questions.

    TL : DR

I'm looking to sub ohm, or very close to sub ohm my reo. What do I need to get there and be safe?

If I'm going to sub ohm a reo, what batteries should I be sure to get? Again, was already looking at getting new AW IMR 18650s.

    Thanks guys
    Happy Valentines Day!

    AW 1600mah = 24 amps
    AW 2200mah = 20 amps

I rock Odins and Nuppins dual coil between .4-.6 on either of these batteries. I love sub ohm because of the flavor and the fact that I can get a nice, warm vape with a lot of airflow for lung inhales. Make sure you meter your builds well of course, and maintain your battery contacts and the firing pin/spring with noalox or deoxit gold.

I regularly vape at about .3ohms using AW 1600 (15C, 24 amp rating) batteries.

Just make sure you have the gold contacts and use some deoxit gold on the contacts and bat terminals. You're prolly going to need regular maintenance (cleaning, more deoxit) of the contacts and bats due to oxidation/buildup, but the reo will be fine.

There is essentially nothing in mech/RDA experience that you can't do with a reo and appropriate RDA.

Reoville has an asylum on the outskirts of town for us super-subbers.

Some say we were placed there because our vapor was too thick to see through.

Others say our vapor is too thick to see through, so we stay because we can't find the exit.

    Regardless, check out my thread:

0.08Ω. Yes, you read that right. Your Reo will be just find at 0.6Ω.

Like Papa said, don't overwork your batteries.

Someone's going to quote that and say something sarcastic. I'm looking at you, Rob.

I did read through your thread. Very pretty coils.

I suppose what I'm worried about is collapsing the spring. As I understood, only 1.0ohm or over was safe without a sub ohm kit. My reo is brand new, but I do not have a sub ohm kit.

If I can do it without that... Then all I need are some new batteries. (My existing ones are over a year old at least.)

Suggestion on a new battery? (Specific amps, etc.)

Does your Reo have the sub ohm contacts? I use the AW 1600mah personally. I rock 0.5-0.7ohms constantly with no problems.
I believe the 1600mah has a higher amp limit at 24 amps. I may be wrong someone else can chime in on that.
    Have a great night

My reo is brand new, but to my knowledge it does not have the sub ohm kit. If that's where you get the sub ohm contacts.

Is your spring gold? If so, you have the subohm kit on it already. And if it new directly from Rob.....it is good to go.

This is correct. The old springs and contacts were stainless steel. If you're seeing gold, you're golden.

Furthermore, if you're REALLY concerned about your spring (and you're a bit crafty), you can try the fuse mod.

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/472662-spring-what-spring.html

Quite frankly though, you really don't need to. Here's my old thread with voltage drop testing results:

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/556208-voltage-drop-testing-results.html

Point in case, you'll be getting great performance regardless if you stay in your comfortable coil range.

It is gold! And it was new direct from Rob!

    Awesome!!! Alright :)

New batteries and a modification and sounds like I should be good to go [emoji4]

Think I may go for the aw IMR 1600mah one, just to be safe. Thanks for the graph, I'll save that for reference.

Button top always recommended? I've heard and experienced mix things on that topic.

I really only use flat tops, but I don't really have a choice there, do I?

There's something in psychology called the system justification theory. It essentially states that people will defend their customs, regardless of how morally or socially wrong those customs might be. Ergo, when the sub-ohm contacts came out and flat tops became okay, everyone's system was threatened. Therefore, they defend that system to avoid harm to their ego (social ego, not Freudian ego).

If that was all a bunch of gibberish to you, either button or flat tops are fine. There are ways to adjust your button's length if you prefer a shorter throw. Here is supertrunker's method, which uses a standard rivet:

Well, I did get more arc'ing deposit with flat top bats (VTC5's) than with the AW's. Might be my button depress technique, but it is what it is.

If you're going to stay below needing >20 amps (including safety margin), you've got a number of choices. zmauls has more exotic need than most.

    LOL

So I may have done most of my reo researching way before I got a reo. It may have been before new units came out updated, because everything I thought I needed to pay attention to sounds like non issues now.

I've been nervously using flat tops with it because that's all I had. I may still go with a button top just to experience the difference.

    Awesome thanks guys :)

zero7stars you're as golden as your REO's contacts my friends. Subohm away baby :) your NT's gonna rock your world all over again in the .4-.6 range. I couldn't believe it - the first time I hit my favorite juices at .4, it was like vaping them again for the first time, but even better.

Well that's totally exciting. Time to initiate that modification!

Yea my bf got a sub tank yesterday for Valentine's Day. Trying that .5 ohm coil was awesome. Can't wait to have that on my reo. :)
