Hi everyone, i'm pretty new here. So i've been vaping for quite some time, and i got a drop dead rda which i was ok about, i haven't tried that many rdas so i i don't know if it's that good or not. But i need a new rda now and i'm overwhelmed since i haven't been checking in for a while. At first i i wanted to get the loop, then some told me bonza is better, then goon is better, then the apocalypse is better. I've been reading on some reviews and trying to decide which one i want, but i don't know, everyone seems to be rating everything the best so i don't actually know which one is the best. So here are my questions.
1.Any recommendations or should i stick to buying the apocalypse? I'm a cloud chaser, and i'm fine with mild flavor, but if i i can get the best of both worlds that's best.
2. Which reviewer is the most trust worthy? Like, if they don't like it they say they don't like it, if it's ok they say it's ok. Trustworthy, doesn't hype everything up to be the best.
Thanks everyone!

This is only my opinion
1) the Apocalypse is a great RDA. I have a few of them. If you watch sales you can get them at a great price. I picked up a copper Apocalypse for $15 a couple months ago. My favorite 25mm cloud chasing RDA is the Carnage. Apocalypse is #2, the Goon 1.5 is good. Culverin is good. When it comes to THE BEST that is really subjective.
2) I like the smaller reviews that have to actually buy their own stuff. Also finding a reviewer that has the same likes that you do is important. I have a friend that is a reviewer. He likes RTAs and regulated mods. I like RDAs and mech mods. I find his reviews entertaining but not pertinent to me.
I hope this helped a little anyway.

1. If you’re a cloud chaser there’s a decent chance you want mesh. There are issues with mesh though.
A. Mesh doesn’t behave like old school coils. It’s insanely low ohm, but it doesn’t want super high wattage.

B. Mesh has a short life. It lasts pretty well, but it dry burns poorly because it’s thin. I get maybe 2 or 3 dryburns out of a mesh strip before it’s fried.

Mesh is very very sensitive to hot spots. You can burn holes in it pretty easily.

C. There’s more than one kind of mesh. There are commercial mesh strips, which are perforated metal plates, and there are pieces of screen. They do not behave the same. The plates have quite a long life but they dryburn even more poorly and they’re pretty expensive. Screen lasts maybe a few days, but you can cut it out of bulk mesh screen and it’s as cheap as wire.

D. Mesh is sooo not MTL. Mesh eats a lot of juice and eats it fast. Wicks need to be jelly wet all the time, and they need to be tight against the screen. If they’re not you’ll get a dry hit and the dry hit will be very bad.

The popular mesh attys have ways to force the wick into the mesh as well as secondary juicing ports to keep things wet.

If you want an RDA for massive clouds the Asmodus Triad fits the bill. This is crazy on top of a Hammer of God mod.

Thanks for the suggestion, but right now i'm not looking for a mesh, i probably want to stick to dual coil, i'm not sure though. I'm in a different country than you guys and it's hard to buy vape stuff unless it's online, even then the more obscure ones like mesh rdas are crazy expensive. But thank you for the suggestion! I'll keep it in mind if i want to try something different.

Wow, that looks crazy lol. Right now i'm only looking for dual coils, although if i want to go for more i'll go for the triad. Thank you for the suggestion!

Can't speak to mesh, as my profile is still in transit, but as for standard coils, I find that best is subjective.
What I consider a deciding factor is matching chamber volume to the wattage that your vaping at.

What wattage are you trying to vape at?

Uhm i don't know if this is ok to say or not, since i say i'm a cloud chaser, but in actuality i like big clouds but don't want to get too crazy. Like a watered down version of a cloud chaser, that's me lol. I usually vape at 80-90 watts but i i still haven't found the perfect, go to amount. Am still experimenting with 100+, but usually 80-90 is what i use.

I've found my drop dead to be rather anemic below 120w. You might want to have a look at the rebirth, as it can handle dual quite easily, and also a single with a 3mm ID gives good results too.

It might also be worth your while to look at clones, as you can get 3-4 for the price of one OG, and test out a few without breaking the bank.

The old school method of getting a mesh like vape was to use something called a radiator coil. They’re kind of a PITA though. Really really large diameter coils (4.5mm+) with lots and lots of wraps of thin wire. They’re quite high ohm (like 2ohm) but they vape DL. The problem with them is they’re fragile as hell because the loops are big and the wire is thin. The idea is maximum wet wire surface area with minimum dry mass. There are also exotic coils which have a lot of surface area but also a lot of dry mass. They heat a lot of air as well as juice, so the vape is hot and the high mass makes them heat and cool slowly. They’re a lot more stable than radiators though. Maybe a pair of 3.5mm fused Claptons in some Zeus variant RTA might be up your street? Most RDA users around here moved to squonk mods, which is an RDA with a squeeze bottle of juice connected to the bottom of the atty. simplifies things.

I don't vape those wattages but all I can tell you is I have found my favorite RTAs by both deep, in depth research and total blind luck. It's sort of you try enough... You read enough threads.

Also, most reviewers will not OUTRIGHT lie, at least SOME of them. You kind of have to learn to decode their carefully worded "negative" statements.

Which is usually why my "I am actually sending you out this THING to review please" reviews have turned out so badly. I tell it like it is for ME and well, I guess I am far too eloquent at it.

I'm surprised Aspire still lets me BUY their stuff even. LOL. God. What a train wreck of a review that N2S review turned out to be!

And I actually LOVE the tank EXCEPT for the coil changes which, frankly, perhaps I was a bit too frank about "I would bottom fill a Kabuki a million times over these coil changes which I don't understand it MUST have something to do with like, the bell cap design or something I don't ASSUME most vape companies set out to annoy me."

S'okay. I mean, I felt bad but jeez that refill system SUCKS although everything else about the N2S is pretty great.

But no I should have just written "exercise care and set aside time for your coil change" or something bland like that, I guess.

That's far outta my league..
I vape at the most around 15W I might go 20W, but that's once in blue-moon..
& that's plenty in my opinion for clouds or whatever..
& flavor is outta this world for me...

The Aequitas RDA is one of my favorites.
Humongous airflow, with options for side or bottom airflow and very good flavor.

When you're not on a budget, the TwistedMesses 24 Pro is a very flavorful and cloudy RDA, that's worth every single penny.
If you're into bottom airflow, the Sherman 25 is worth a look as well.

A profile does that for me. Will eat dual batteries in less than 12 hrs though. Mesh is weird.

If using a regulated mod, the coil, be it mesh or traditional coil has no effect on the battery life. Your power setting does. Mesh is no different than a traditional coil, the same physics apply.
