Hi all,

I have used an SD keychain for some time, but it bugs me that I cannot see when I'm running out of liquid as it's simply a mouthpiece and a battery. I'd like to switch to a taking system (I think it's called).

I am completely new and would like to get a bit of advice about what to get.

Cost isn't really a big factor, as long it's less than about £100 I'm happy. The only real specification is that I do not want a manual battery. Everything else is open!

Can anyone suggest a kit to get me off the ground? I will use it quite a lot and want to have a decent quality, light and easy to use e-cig.

Your thoughts are very much appreciated, thank you x

Kit

A carto tank system or even a clearo type topper would let you see how much liquid is left, certainly. The thread types most commonly found are 510 and Ego threads, and there is a wide variety of choices. If you want to stay with cartos, the carto tank is a tube around it (with holes punched in the carto to let the juice in), and you fill the tube with your juice. (After normal filling of the carto, of course.)

Clearos come in two broad types, top coil and bottom coil. It wouldn't hurt (or cost a lot) to get one of each to try out, and then decide which you prefer. Or if you prefer the carto tank :)

Wanting to stay with an automatic greatly reduces your choice of battery. I can't think of any replaceable battery mods that are autos... but I have seen tube type autos up to 1100 mAh, which would give quite a bit longer vape time between charges.

Or, going to a different thread type, something like the Dial-a-Volt Dial-A-Volt Automatic Battery Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarette | E-Cigs by Vapor4Life might be what you're looking for. (The link if for reference - don't know their shipping policy.)

Your SD uses a 300 mAh rated auto battery, and probably has 510 threads, so you could check some of the online shops in the UK to see what they have to put on it, and if they have other auto batteries. I would recommend staying with 510 and Ego threads, so you don't wind up limiting your choices in the future.

The SD is 510 threaded and if you like it, you can get a small tank to go with it. I'd recommend either a Kanger T4 (510 threaded) or a Vision Nano. I don't know where in the UK you can get them, but I'm sure they are widely available,

Most automatic batteries are cigalikes--superminis or minis, 510 or kr808 threaded and they all can be used with small clearomizers I mentioned above. There is also an eGo automatic; but it may be hard to find. Then there is the eRoll, but it has a proprietary connection.

Other than that, if you want to move up to bigger batteries and clearomizers, you'll really have to switch to manuals.
