Hello I have a few questions about whats the latest tech out now for e-cigs.

I started out vaping a while ago, some time in 09'. I had an automatic 901 or something, I hated it because the auto switch was SO sensitive it would go off if the windows were down in my car. So I then sold the 901 and picked analogs back up since this e-cig thing wasn't working out very well.

A few months later I decided to try again and got a manual Totally Wicked-510 TITAN. I liked it, but I was tired of having to constantly refill the carts ALL the time due to drop off in flavor, and the atomizers that I had had a horrible burnt taste that I could never clean off. I decided to take up analogs again after being tired of fiddling around with the bad atomizers and the constant refilling of the carts.

Since I liked vaping and I really really need to kick the analog habit, I am wanting to start up again and I was wondering what every is raving over now. I am thinking I need something that has less maintenance. I still have the 510 parts (but I have no idea if they still work. I tossed the atomizers that I had) I dont know if I should just go in and get something new or try to use the batteries with maybe cartomizers? or a tank system?

I really dont know whats changed since 2010. Also... aside from the e-cig, what kinda liquid is everyone using/whats good? I dont really mind filling up carts, but having to do it very very frequently seems like a hassle.

Anyways, I know this is a long post, but I am excited about trying e-cigs again. Hopefully I can kick the analogs this time =)

Oh boy lol There have been sooo many new things come out since 2010. I'm certain you will get plenty of suggestions. I've been vaping for almost 3 years now and I'm settled on an ego type battery (they go by ego/riva/tornado/kgo and a few others) It is a fat battery style about the size of a marker. I use an 1100mah one which is a little longer, but lasts about 11hrs of vaping.

I've recently switched to the Vision Ego Stardust Clearomizer (tons of threads about them). They hold about 1.6ml of liquid, have no filler, perform amazingly and are really easy to fill....fuss free :D

Do a bit of looking around. There is plenty to choose from.

Congrats and vape on!!

Holy crap. Was looking at that Vision Ego Stardust Clearomizer. THAT IS COMPLETELY AWESOME! What about leaking? It seems like something like that would leak... Or have they worked out all the bugs since 2010 and found out how to make it without leaking.

Im thinking I probably need to get rid of my stuff from 2010 because I have no idea if any of it is good and start fresh.

The Stardusts are sealed at the bottom and the mouth piece actually screws in and has 2 orings to prevent leaking. I haven't had any leaking issues with them what so ever. I was using clearomizers (a non-filler cartomizer) for a really long time and I had to mod them with better tubing and adjust the rubber caps. I always had leak issues, but the performance was good once I got them going.

With the stardusts, they perform the way my clearomizers did, but with no hassle, leaks, modding..etc and they look awesome on the ego bats. I do recommend getting the low resistance versions (2.0-2.2ohm) as they do perform better on the egos than the standard resistance (2.5-2.7ohm)

I've been very very impressed with mine so far.

Can you tell I love the eGO-T and VEC, which is the Boge clone? I never recommend any thing else though I like my 510 tanks too. Probably cost you as much or more to get your 510s back in service than purchase a new double eGO kit.

I have a bit of everything as far as liquid goes. I DIY my own unflavored which I keep around when I get tired of flavors. I also use Backwoods Brew liquids quite often (Casablanca is my favorite). I've recently tried a new vendor Mom and Pops Vapor Shop and I've really liked all the flavors I've gotten from them.

I also have an order coming in from Aroma E-Juice which sells a whole tobacco alkaloid juice which has more of a cigarette feel as it contains more from the tobacco than just isolated nicotine. There are so many excellent liquid vendors now that you can pick and choose just about any from the Suppliers forum and find something to suit you.

Since EVERYONE has recommend the eGO, is there anyone selling an eGO kit with the Vision Ego Stardust Clearomizer?? =)

Also what kinda liquid are you guys using?
I don't know of anyone that has made a stardust kit yet. You can look around though.
In rough math in my head you could make a kit with two batts, a USB charger, and three stardusts for $65 or less

9nemz, I see the Vodka back there...assume that's for cleaning your cartos. And the rubbing alcohol? I soak my CE2's in it, you?

I know everyone is advertising the eGo! But if battery life and big throat hits are an issue for you I would personally suggest the kGo version!

I switched to it recently and am ABSOLUTELY loving it!

It has an 1100mah battery, and with these eGo Dual Coil Cartomizers the time between needing to be filled or topped off is astoundingly long! 3+ML of liquid in a cartomizer w/ low resistance? I think I may be in love!

Do some research before buying anything though - wait for more opinions, look at some reviews! Especially video reviews, watch the product in action! It definitely helped make my decision and I don't think I will EVER look back!

Also, I don't advocate doing things too far above your level of skill, but please don't waste your time getting too basic of a set up or you will only be looking for another upgrade in the very near future! (the kGo is simple to learn, easy to get going, and bad ...!)

Oh... and WELCOME BACK! :vapor::toast::vapor:

Come on stop playing arooud with all that ego stuff, get yourself a real Mod........ Mabey a Provari or ????>>>>>>>> Some 510 attys and VG e-liquid...Start driping and enjoy what real vaping is all about................

Not everyone wants to drop ~$150 for one unit. not to mention I have actually tried the one someone at my work had the other day as we were discussing them on our breaks... not only did he feel like it was not enough bang for buck but I didn't enjoy it much more than my unit

Plus, everyone has different needs/preferences... maybe for the veteran e smoker who needs such a hardcore setup it would be worth it... but for most of us it's just overkill

Hey, Plas....

Not vodka, it's ABC Liquors 153 proof straight grain alcohol (Florida version of Everclear) for cleaning my attys, tanks/tank caps, and I take a short snort or two once in awhile. I'm sick of the cartos I have....I use them until they get nasty and pitch them. The rubbing alcohol mixed with Lanacane is for skeeter bites. Again on cartos, I said that without judgement beyond the current specific model....Boge XL LR 2.0s....way too hot vapor and rapes the taste of my lovely Desert Ship 2.4%. I'm waiting on some regular length Boges in 2.0 and SRs to arrive. Made me sick to have to pitch an XL with about 1-1/2 ml of my favorite nectar still in it.

lol....guess a consensus is about to be reached on a Provari as a start-up rig. As for dripping, I personally ain't that hardcore addicted to nic nor do I want another all day job getting my kicks. Maybe in my future. He must not have tried an eGO or VEC lately. I can choke myself on the throat kick and the 1100 mAh battery lasts me about 30 hours.

EDIT: Oh, and I still use and enjoy my 510-Ts. I keep a couple loaded up and handy near our recliners for when our eGO batteries are discharged and we don't want to get up then to deal with it. Also, I grab one on the way out the door if I'm taking a short trip somewhere, messing around out in the yard, etc. They come in handy and I'm fond of them because they immediately got us off of analogs.

However, if I had it to do over again knowing what I know now, I'd have bought the VECs or eGO-T to begin with. And $42 at thevaporgirl.com for a double 1100 mAh eGO-T kit. Most places want more than that for a single 650 mAh kit.

Case and Point... thank you!

How's the hunt coming, any new insights after trolling the forum?

Also, remember a quick search on forum can answer A LOT of questions :)

haha, I feel like I'm leaning towards the eGO setup with the new stardust since it seems like its completely awesome and low low maintenance. Kinda worried that its new and still might have some bugs, but some threads people are talking in seem to say its good.

Im also kinda worried that it might be too big =/ I think I would like it when i get my hands on it though. Not sure...

Anyways, the only place I can find the stardust is at gotvapes.com

Ideally I would like to order some juice + 2 stardusts + 2 batteries + a charger at one place. I can't seem to find batteries on their site though =(

Oh and I have been trolling/searching. Just a bunch of threads to go through =). lol
