Hey guys, I'm wanting to upgrade from my first mod which is an MVP 3.0... looking at the MVP 4.0 but I really like the looks of so many other mods. Just want to make sure I get something of quality! Like the looks of the Cool Fire more but not sure. Don't want to waste my money on something that isn't going to work properly no matter how pretty it is. What would you guys recommend??

I went on a run of Innokin products for a while and they were all good. I went from the iTazte VV, to the SVD, to the VTR, almost bought an MVP. I'd say you need to decide if you want internal or replaceable batteries first. And then attempt to gauge how high in Wattage you want to be able to go. And then decide if you want to be able to get into Temp Control. After that, decide if you want the latest bells and whistles or if you would be happy with a simple mod.

I'm a fan of the Jac DNA mod, too. It's pricey but very well reviewed.

I've settled on two Pico 75's and Kanger SubTank Mini's. I liked the price point (~ $50.00 ea; batteries separately) and the versatility of the combo.

MTL friendly, DTL friendly, 75w capable, TC capable, RBA capable, stock OCC coils last for weeks. It hauls ... and looks good doing it.

I will say that if I were going to buy a set up right now geared towards versatility, quality, sustainability, and style...I'd get a Vaporesso Revenger/NRG tank kit and a (matching color) original Uwell Crown tank with two of each the coils available for it. Also four 18650's and a decent charger. Slap the Crown on the Revenger and play with the coils to see which ones you like. Once you know what range you like to play with wait for a similar coil to come out for the NRG tank. Meanwhile enjoy that Crown.

Yeah, lots of choices out there.

Built in battery or replaceable 18650.
Mah (milli amp hours) 1100 and up from there
Size, shape etc.
High watt or not so high watt.

The Eleaf iStick Power is very similar to the MVP line with a big battery (built in) and much more wattage available.

iStick Power | Best E Cig Battery from Eleafworld

The Eleaf Pico is very popular. Takes 1 18650 replaceable battery.

iStick Pico Kit Firmware Upgradeable | EleafWorld

Just checked out the pico and love the new resin style they have. Is the battery life pretty good? I'm seeing they don't last very long

@listopencil I have an original Crown and am loving it now that I've worked out the newbie learning curves! Those Vaporessos look pretty nice!
@IBCR Media and @vapdivrr do either of you have a link to a US site that sells the Jac mod?

Yeah, they do. Got me drooling. The board, the part that controls the electronics, has a lot of cool stuff. You could grow into the thing and it would do you up for quite a while. I would just make sure you are getting one to order and not to pre-order if you go with that mod.

@Shelly Stone Jac Vapour sells direct to the US.

SERIES-B DNA 75W (Device Only) - (USA)

It's a beautiful mod but phew at that sticker price (YMMV).

Here's the best price I've seen on the Pico (mod only, silver or black only):

DiscountVapers.com - Search Results for "pico"

The guys at Discount are great and only sell genuine gear. That's where mine came from.

I haven't seen the resin style for under $50.00. At least not at legit US sites.

Battery life is Ok. I normally keep mine set between 25 and 30 watts and have to charge every other day or so with Samsung 25R's.

I know the jac is a bit more then these other mods at about 85 dollars but you can get a discount. If you actually put the jac in your cart on their site and just leave it there, after some time they apply a discount. I heard after a few days you get 10 percent and if you keep it there longer, you get 20 percent

Politeness deters me from giving my opinion on JacVapour. A UK company that has traditionally sold standard China-tech products at their own unique prices. It's good they are offering a DNA mod. Most of the reviews of course should be taken with a large pinch of salt. They are nicely (for them) embedded in the review-for-commission industry which makes me highly unlikely to give them the thumbs up. They do what Vaporfi and others do in the US. They don't triple prices (I'll give them that) but this side of the industry is nauseating and I wish it would stop.

I don't get it? They designed the mod and had it made, what is wrong with that? It's not like it was out there already and they bought a bunch and now are reselling for a higher price...what is it with buying devices now, it's like everyone is on FT , GB, or 3f's payroll? A good quality, fairly inexpensive device comes out and because it's not 10 bucks, it gets bashed

I didn't know anything about JacVapour past or present, but bought the DNA75 based on what I read about it here on ECF - and I'm very happy with it (just wish I'd known about the discount before hitting the "buy" button !)
