Warning: Halo e-liquid, horrible customer service experience.......

I would first like to thank all the members on this forum, who have helped me quit analogs, I am now at this time 2 weeks analog free!!! Due in part to all the wonderful advice, I purchased a GOGO, and I LOVE IT!!! There is some really good advice and some great people here, I cant thank you all enough :laugh:

In search of a great menthol e-liquid, I read a few reviews, and decided to give HALO TRUE PURE menthol a try. When I finally received the product, (the longest ive waited for any product shipped to me)
and waited the recommended 48hrs before use, it tasted HORRIBLE!! (I understand everyone has different taste) It was just Like a non-menthol liquid.

I called and left a message with HALO, no response in 24 hrs. I then emailed and got a response in good time. I honestly thought i received the wrong product, since it was so "non-menthol". To make a long story short, I was basically told to go ....... myself. Here is a copy of the email that I received....

for the recordI, I was using NEW carto's, so I know it wasnt my device....

So if anyone can help me find a good menthol e-liquid, with at least decent customer service, please let me know!!! Happy vaping!!!

Just because you are using 'new cartos' doesn't mean there wasn't something wrong with them. I have had two fail out of the box.

He has got a point about the sample sizes. It isn't a good idea to order that much of something you haven't tried, at least I wouldn't. Reviews are fine, but as you say taste is very subjective.

What did you expect them to 'do for you'?

I really just wanted to confirm I received the right product. I read all the great reviews, and decided to buy the 30ml bottle. I understand taste is subjective, I was just very surprised at the taste... I tasted NO menthol at all. I was hoping for maybe a store credit, or even just a simple "sorry, you have the correct product" ....

In my opinion, he could of been a little more professional about it. Just as so many people here has helped me, I am simply trying to warn other newbies NOT TO BUY full size bottles as I did before trying them, or purchasing sample bottles first. Obviously, my opinion of their menthol, and customer service is not good, so anyone considering purchasing their e-liquid can take my experience into account and make their own opinion....

I don't think it was an appropriate comment to make to a customer. Sorta rude in fact.

I had a simiiliar issue with a juice I bought from Vapor Bomb. I love their juice. I got a bottle of strawberry and I seriously think they left the flavoring out. It had no taste. I never did it before, but I emailed them. They were extremely nice, polite etc. etc. Told me about steeping which I knew. They immediately sent me another bottle. I offered to send mine back so they could check it. I didn't want something for nothing. If they thought it was OK I would have gladly paid for it and chalked it up to a juice that I just didn't like. But they were extremely nice, didn't want it back.

If I had gotten that email I wouldn't have been happy.

Get some menthol crystals to dissolve in to it if it's not mentholy enough for you (I've also had a few juices that have had to sit for a week or 2 before they came into their own, not many though and never menthol). I agree you shouldn't have to do that but maybe you just had an off batch or something.

I've had great chinese juice, I've had horrible chinese juice, I've had great north american juice, I've had horrible north american juice.

Never having dealt with halo myself I really can't say much about them, but he is right at least on ordering a sample is probably the wisest move if it's a new flavor to you, taste is very subjective, no 2 peoples tongues are the same.

He was being sarcastic about the chinese liquid (sort of unprofessional it sounds to me) but totally wicked markets a chinese line of juice made by Joye in the titan/tornado line that has an excellent menthol that's on sale right now.Also just curious if you were rude to the halo people first as that response just doesn't seem fitting to a polite inquiry by a customer.

I'm not saying your wrong but to be fair if your gonna post his response it would help if you posted what you emailed him.

Their response was in very poor form. In Halo's defense, there are a LOT of people who consistantly complain about products in hopes of getting something for free and I'm sure Halo has seen their share.

Some of these juice vendors DO get a "holier than thou" attitude due to the "fanboys". I can't say Halo is one of them but things change. I'm glad I found a way to make my own version of Freedom so I dont have to pay those prices anymore.

One more thing to note, we ALL have bad days. It could have been one of those days for the person who answered your inquiry.
