I think it's a good thing for us to prepare our sellers for future regulation. If they listen to some of our suggestions and take preparatory measures we may even be allowed to continue to vapourise nicotine when the authorities finally assess the situation.
Pillbox is doing this with his Wicked range. He's getting ready for restrictions by printing labels with ingredient lists and hazard warnings. He's looking into using child safe bottle caps. He's also had lab tests carried out on his juice and shared the results with us. That's the way forward for eliquid sellers, they should be doing it voluntarily before they are forced by regulations or, worse, banned from selling it at all.
I don't like to generalise about Chinese products, like all societies there are principled people as well as unprincipled. The companies we deal with can be assessed on things like reputation, reliability, disclosure, investment in research, etc. We can check with companies like Janty because they are prepared to engage with us and disclose certain information. If we wanted to we could also check their claims about European approvals and lab tests. Ruyan have commissioned clinical trials in New Zealand, to me that gives them added credibility too. Compare them with ecig.com and you get the message, they all need to be judged on an individual basis, treat all with caution, check facts if necessary ... decent suppliers are more likely to provide an ethical service.
