I agree. I'm confused too. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but of the "hybrid" type atties...the ones I see availabe are the hybrids by Clouds of Vapor which appear to be the same as the ones from Vapage....and then the ones from Avidvaper. Did I miss any?

They have a "Bottom Feeder" version and a Silo AMG Hybrid line. If I understand what I've read correctly, it's the BF version that is causing some misery when used on bottom feeding mods other than the V-mod.

Here is a thread Bruce from COV started that might clear things up a bit.

Edit: the ones being sold at avidvaper.com are the HH 357 attys that are assembled by Hanna here in the U.S. The first production run had sealed center posts and were not compatible with any bottom feeding mod. The next run going on sale tonight (I think) will have open center posts.

Hope this helps...

Vapage is the maker/branding. COV is selling also, though Vapage is not offering non BF attys as of just checking today. Silo is the carto made for the Vmod and has the same threading as the BF atty, so be aware. I have also used the silos on my reos without issue. I honestly think they are being screwed down too tight as many vapers are using on lots of BF devices without issues. Here, Grand, Mini, and Phidias.

As always, YMMV.

You are correct. :)

It is the BF one from COV that is causing issues on bottom feeding mods, works on the mod you mention above though. I also read that Cisco would have the HH 357 attys available tonight for sale at avidvaper.

I did not purchase the BF atty, I got the regular hybrid atty after reading about the causing shortages. The regular one does feed on my REO and AG (Almighty God) pointed out the fact that they would indeed work on bottom feeding mods. But like I said, I really wasn't impressed with it as it takes ALOT of juice for it to work properly.

I flooded mine, still got a harsh, nasty vape. It was also stated that you have to keep it flooded or very wet at all times in order to get the right vape from it. People in that thread stated that they went through ALOT of juice with it, and they weren't lying either. LOL It is a juice hog!

Here's part the description of the BF hybrid attys from Bruce's original post:

"The Silo AMG Hybrid Bottom Feeder is designed to work with all bottom feeders. What makes it unique is the side hydro-porting to help prevent flooding and gurgling. The Hydro-porting is located on the sides of the shell allowing juice to flow in and out from the catch cup. This way if the atomizer is over feed (flooded) the extra e-juice flows out allowing the heating coil to vaporize the right amount for a great vape. When the e-juice gets used up, any excess from the catch cup automatically gets drawn back into the heating coil reducing the need to constantly pump the juice bottle."

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't ALL attys work this way with Reos? The excess juice flows out into the catch cup and is drawn back up.

It seems like the main difference is the adjustable center pin, and that supposedly only affects airflow. (or maybe something else related to the V-Mod)

Either way, the descriptions are misleading and ought to be rewritten.

Food for thought: The Reo Thankfully, uses the spring as a failsafe... Imagine having one of these atties short out while using a telescopic device that screws down on the battery!!!! (GG for instance)

Just as a note, the GG, and all the telescopic devices I have (the Megaladon, the Empire) all have the exact same sort of collapsable spring in addition to a venting mechanism for safety.

That being said, I will look more closely at the vapage hybrid bottom feeding atties I have, but so far it has been working on my REO Woodville just fine.

This still concerns me because the GGs screw down on the batt(s). The springs are also MUCH heavier. There is also an optional fuse available. These things lead me to believe if a direct short occurs in a GG, things could go south pretty fast. I'm not an expert on telescopic mods though, just tryin to help folks.

this is what rob has to say about this but i'll go find the other link for the other problem.
The center pin on this atomizer protrudes more then a standard atomizer even after pushing the pin in as far as I could. My mods are built to run standard atomizers I have a slot cut in the center pin air flow is not & issue with any of my mods .If you put this atomizer on a reo and bottom it out you will break the gasket .My advice is don't use it on my mods. If you do choose to chance it don't over tighten the atty just snug it on .I have tried the atty I don't see what all the hype is about. If more air flow is what you want run a 901 and save yourself some money and hassle

ok here is the other one:

There is no simple fix it has to come back to the shop .This has been happening more then I would like to see. I have found the problem and have been taking measures to make sure its not going to continue. I rebuilt close to 100 mods that were already built that I had in the shop last week . Send it to me there will be no charge for the repair .I feel bad but there is nothing I can do at this point but stand behind the mod and repair them
Hey Jay its not that its a new device this was happening with all the mods more often then it should have.It wasn't happening to the veterans so I chalked it up to new users doing things they shouldn't. It was eating at me I take pride in my work and when one of my mod shorts I cringe . To make a long story short I found the center pins I was using were thicker then they were suppose to be .That on top of some bad center pin gaskets well you see what can happen .

it's in this thread:
