After talking with some folks at the Calgary meet, I learned that we *can* have a chapter of the CASAA here, providing we can drum up some more members here for it.

Thing is...I don't know anything about "where do we begin" with it, but knowing that *some* organization with our interests at heart can help will give a lot of credibility to our cause. I know that they have some Canadian "people" up here, but whether or not they're in a "chapter" or not I don't know yet.

I'd like to read comments from people here regarding this. I really think it's a good idea to get behind 'em. Membership dues (unless I'm mistaken) are on a "donate what you can" basis, so there's no reason that EVERYONE here cannot be a member.

ok I got a response

I would highly recommend that Canadians join CASAA and start participating in the member meetings.
If we don't have Canadian members, we can't have a CASAA presence in Canada!

Join CASAA at casaa.org, then email Ron at board@casaa.org to let him know you want to attend the online member meetings. we also need Regional Representatives in Canada. You would serve as CASAA's eyes & ears in Canada and be a contact in case of proposed legislation. You would also be the base membership once CASAA gets the local chapters up and running.

This goes for anyone, anywhere, interested in having local CASAA chapters.

So please join!

So all you vapers out there write to Ron and let him know you want to be apart of the meeting and lets get a CASAA chapter up here.

yeah you got the electronic form letter that is automatically sent to you when you join. I got that too.

Actually, when I signed up I commented that it would be good if they had an alternate method or two of paying for donations since their checkout service gave me a bit of grief. I was emailed back right away by Webby to say that they were just in the process of implementing paypal, and he asked if I'd like for them to send me some promo materials and such to hand out.

So...I know there's some life there. I guess I just dunno what the next step is.

At the rate things go in Canada, I wonder if the whole country can be one "chapter". Can we DO that?

Iam no longer in the fight. Iam remaining quiet and no longer researching nor signing anything. I am done here. Thanks to everyone that supported me but its time I leave ECF.

It is sad to see someone with such drive for the cause walk away because of one self-righteous member. There is no need for putting someone down in a public forum, you have just as much right to be here as anyone else, you haven't broken any rules, and their is nothing wrond with voicing your opinion, and to acknowledge the negative behaviour directed towards you and walk away because of it is letting him win. Just ignore the ignorant guy, respondeding to his antics just make them worse.

Well said, lelly. I hope Ian will come back long enough to read your post, & the PM we sent him earlier.

Thanks for this thread too, AlbertaClipper. We've now joined CASAA & donated some $$ too.

Ive decided with help from a couple friends on here Iam not going to let someone with a mental disability and his minion of AK'ers stop my fight. What am I showing people when I fold because of one ...... when I want to take on HC. No Iam not going anywhere, I am in it to win it, im in for the long haul. Thank you guys for a reality check.

ok why not make one post or thread dedicated to that then so the rest of us can still enjoy the forum
theres like 7 or 8 threads where your posting this stuff so why not close them all and open an IanK1968 thread where you can discuss your cause rather then flooding every single thread really one thread is enough is it not
every single thread i read is becoming a political thread and some just want to read about e-cigs
