I know the FDA's motives and conclusions are still being sorted out by people. I for one was concerned that any carcinogens or contaminants were found, despite the fact that I don't fully understand the ramifications, if any. We need to start dealing with the fact that there is no watchdog to ensure the quality of what we're putting into our bodies.
I think the distributors should all send samples of their liquids to a single lab that can analyze the contents for levels of TSNAs, PEG, etc, etc. Then they should post the results on their website and I for one will be willing to pay the extra expense involved. If everyone goes to the same place, with the same testing protocol, we can have consistent, trustworthy quality of product. The ECA should really be advocating this to protect us in parallel with fighting the good fight against propaganda.
All my justifications to myself about why these are safer than analogs is based on trusting that I know what is in the liquid. Without that, I'm not sure these justifications are valid.
