Largely unregulated China? I swear this is getting ridiculous. Your home is filled with chinese stuff. Everyone you know uses chinese stuff. Get off the 'unregulated' bit. e-liquid is highly regulated in China.

No need to swear... As a retailer, my company has been selling Chinese products for nearly a decade. So you don't need to tell me that my home is filled with stuff made from China.... I know. But for you to make such a bold statement that "XXX is highly regulated in China" is beyond me. Saying that is no different from saying "the FDA purely has my health in mind."

Let's get real. We can hope that the e-liquid manufacturers, or for that matter, any manufacturer, will uphold and do the right thing. I can hope that my burgers from Jack in The Box is not tainted.... or I can hope my Tylenol does not contain cyanide, I can hope that Ford will not "let the people burn" if the Pinto was found to have a defective gas tank, I can hope that the pet food I buy is safe for my pets.... so on and so forth.

I wish we could live in a perfect world, where people who make the products we use would know in advance how we might be harmed. But the truth is, this is the real world we're in. Even with testing - you think all those things weren't "tested"? They wanted a bad reputation? I KNOW analogs WILL kill me. I'm using what judgment I have to switch to vapeing, which, like someone else said, my doctor(s) have told me to "go for". I'm not against testing, I'm just saying that it may or may not help. Oh, and I'm an American, my Dad and uncles and great uncles all fought wars to keep me safe and to give me rights. I want my rights and without being over charged for them because the government wants to clear up the National debt. whew. Didn't know all that was in there. **Steps down from soapbox now**

the problem stuff from china is usually the low cost low profit stuff.. cheap toys and cheap milk.. these dudes are struggling to stay in business.. many havnt managed it.. the incentive to cut corners and lower production costs is high..

e cigs are high profit things for the chinese... e liquid has been sold for as much 22.000 dollars per imperial gallon when in little plastic tubs called carts...

there really is no logical reason or incentive to save a few pennies with its production... the baby milk thing was a one off the guy has probably been hung drawn and quartered.. you really cant use this kind of incident to condemn the chinese as a nation who dont care....

they want our business desperately... they aint gonna poison us... at least i am reasonably sure they aint... others can think what they like..

but all these fools who demand %100 safe products are really helping the ban it brigade and nanny state.. perhaps some of them are really part of the ban it brigade.. they could be.. made up names posting on a forum.. who are these people... we dont know..

We personally are already working on testing our cartridges at an independent lab here in the US.

I have some I want tested can I send it to you?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tested or not it is still my decision- did they test my Marlboros yes and they were still for sale.

from what I've heard important juice makers in the US don't seem worried- in fact I heard they are expanding- I don't think they would do this if they were scared- so neither am I

they might test US made stuff- let em- piece of mind is a good thing to have while your falling asleep at night.

I am not condemning a nation because of 1 or 2 incidents. What I am saying is all this chatter on the forums is not gonna change whatever the FDA / Govt / Tobacco Lobbyist, etc's agenda. If they are gonna test and perhaps skew results, then they will do that. If their ultimate goal is to make these taboo in public perception, they will succeed. And if their ultimate goal is to ban, unfortunately, they will also succeed.

Perhaps it was just wishful thinking on my part, but if they are going to do what they are going to do anyway, one can hope that this organization will do what they were intended to do in the first place.... which is to sift out bad / dangerous products so to weed out / change questionable practices. Will this ultimately lead to something 100% safe? Never... but it could be a step in the right direction.
