she has been so rude, not once apologizing for creating this mess, just selfish and vindictive. i went from a 3300 return to owing over 700. 4k difference. you are right boardo, its only money. but it is significant. and it feels like she did it to spite me... she cost us thousands of dollars and doesnt even care... she refuses to admit her mistake, refuses to help rectify it. i am at my wits end.

Well that there is an entirely different story. Wish there was osmehtin gI could say to help.. but I'm pretty much at a loss for words... 4 grand? That's worst case right there. ugh...

1: The things I want to say about people like this or bankers, lawyers, politicians is not allowed by ECF rules. It would look something like this:

What a day!!! Dealing NOW with my other credit card getting hit with fraudulent charges! UGH!!! I've been reading on Facebook where it's happening all over in our vaping community! Soooo SAD ... And such a pain to deal with! :-(

I basically have to file by hand/mail her amended returns to fed and state. and mail my un-filed returns to fed and state. i will have to pay the irs for the amount of her overpayment on her return, possible before i receive mine. if she had waited 12 hours from the time of her filing for me to get home, or even called and asked me before she submitted this whole thing could have been avoided. now this whole mess has put such a strain on our relationship that she is talking about moving to phx to her parents house. she has become so difficult to even talk to in the last couple days that it might be a relief for me if she were to take off for a few days, but i dont want her to. i dont want to be away from Levi or set in motion a potential split. i am treading lightly while maintaining a level of respect so that she can't hold anything against me, no name calling or yelling just frustrated reasoning and lost logic. what the hell am i supposed to do?

LD I feel for ya, wish I had some magic advise for you, but all you can do now is work with it to get the best result you can. She may be acting the way she is because she knows she messed up but doesn't know how to deal with it.

#1 Hi to all of you! Been MIA for a while. Moving sucks donkeys.

LD, It sounds like you are in a really rough situation. You have my number if you need to blow off steam.

Missed all you guys! Can't wait for things to get back to normal. I put a deposit down on a new place today, so I should be able to achieve something resembling normalcy soon.

she is all sorts of backwards. called me on my lunch break yelling... doesnt want me to file the amended return because it will lower her assistance through fasfa when she goes back to school..... she has been out of school for 2 years. if she goes back it would be 1-3 classes at CC over the next year. these classes cost 200 + books. she would still qualify for some financial aide, and even if she didnt, the tax refund far exceeds the cost of these handful of low cost classes. i am beginning to think she is just nuts, she is incapable of reason and logic and simple math. my patience is gone. i love her and fully support her, but she is being extremely unreasonable, self centered and impossible to have calm discussions with..

And thank you everyone for your comments. i just need to vent a little and this is helping me visualize my thought process and organize my rationale. i had no intention of dumping this situation on all of you, i just needed to 'get it out'.

Tish great to see you back and settling down! Are you still central, or did you take a hike to another part of town?
