Isn't that sad? They passed a bill that says that the government can't regulate GMO's, it was squished in with food stamps. Great, huh?
I understand why they mix things like that in a bill (they couldn't get it to pass by itself) but I think that it's really, really wrong.

One thing you want to look out for that is FDA approved is Aspartame (sweetener in diet drinks). I was doing a report on it for nutrition and they gave it to zebra fish which in turn started having swimming defects and brain inflammation (I believe). Another one done on rats saw that their spatial memory was affected and instead of trying to find the end of the maze they just floated there (in some water section of the maze). And MUCH MUCH more. Very scary stuff.

If anyone wants to see those studies, feel free to PM me.
4: Who gets to write a law to protect themselves like GMO did? Why would you need protection against lawsuits for plants, animals, land and people being hurt by your product? Because you know it will hurt all of these things. Evidence is showing that GMO food causes cancer, Alzheimer's, autism, holes in the stomach, softening of the stomach, ADD, and a host of other issues. Almost all of Europe has kicked Monsanto out and forbidden their GMO food. India after having its land, crops and people suffer badly kicked them out. The only place that hasn't is the good ol USA and most people will not look into this well documented information and save their own lives.

they lobby and squash any and all legislation drafted by the people no not even ban the GMOs, but to SIMPLY LABEL products that contain them. AZ is drafting a bill to label foods, but it wont pass. even with 75% support it wont pass.... sick and sad
a brief thread i started a couple months ago. i started two identically....i got a rule reminder infraction for cursing and avoiding the censors....

Schnarph, I looked at work today and couldn't find any brass or SS tubing. If I come across some I'll shoot you a PM. We do different projects all the time so I never know when we'll order some more. Won't cost a thing, I'll even ship it on the company's dime.

Do you happen to have any aluminum tubing laying around? I have a vision of an anodized aluminum Vamo... :thumb:

Sorry to hear about the poison oak.... Had to look up an image for it, cause I never had called it that before.. It kinda looks just like poison ivy but with different shaped leaves.. I've avoided these as well as poison ivy my whole life, but never thought of it as poison oak..

Poison Ivy

Yeah we get poison oak around here, theres two versions of it, as a shrub or as a vine which usually grows up trees attaching them... Theres a lot of fun plant out there to give you fun times, poison ivy, i could blow my nose with, poison sumac for me is a touch and go, sometimes i get it some times i don't, but the poison oak, if i look at it cross-eyed ill get it no questions asked...

Poison Oak is the west coast version of Poison Ivy (although there is some poison oak on the east coast). Funny thing: I am totally immune to poison ivy; sleep in it, rub it on my skin, etc. - nothing. Poison Oak on the other hand... even the slightest brushing on my skin causes raised, red welts that ooze fluid for days.

Never encountered poison sumac... and I don't want to. It's supposed to be much worse than poison ivy or poison oak.

lol exactly the same for me, i just posted that before catching up on the posts... haha sucks doesn't it...

I hear Austin is going to open up a quite nice vaping lounge/bar/shop... anyone near Austin? Think its called "All about Vapor"
I've been there. I'm a half hour from Austin, it's another half hour from there. They have way more business than they can handle. I went there at about 2pm on a weekday. I waited over 30 minutes to get to the counter, with 7 people working very hard using the "take a number" system. They let you try 3 flavors before you buy, which was most of the wait. After being surrounded by various vapor flavors in a closed space for half an hour the vape I brought with me tasted like the smell in the air, so I didn't do any taste testing. I didn't like any of the 4 flavors I bought, which were all very popular and recommended by the staff. The place has been very popular for over a year despite it's prices, I've even seen ........ pimp their juice. It smelled like perfume from the other end of a large parking lot where I parked. Judging by their popularity which I assume is due to the lack of vaping B&M's in Austin, I seriously think some good money could be made by opening a B&M near downtown. They're supposed to have another store on the other side of town by now, but I won't go there unless I have a vaping emergency (which is not going to happen). There's lots of big money people in Austin, the rent is crazy high, and there's lots and lots of smokers. Austin needs more B&M's, Exhale Vapors is in Austin but is online only. Grrrr.

Rant concluded, I won't speak of them again. Sorry, you asked!
