so...
I was looking at teh VVV economy tanks, and I have to say they look nice... I am a bit of a noob at this though, so please bear with what may seem like a simple question. I've only used a Protank so far, and the atomizers are fairly easy to change out.
The carto's I haven't quite figured out yet. How long do these last, and when you purchase replacement carto's to go into the tank, about what kind of price am I looking at for each one? Also... are there any carto's that are rebuildable?
If you can afford it, having metal end caps instead of grommets on a VVV is nice but not necessary. The grommets hold on much tighter but make changing cartomizers a little harder. That shouldn't matter much since putting in a new cartomizer is a good time to clean the tank anyways.
The life of a cartomizer varies for some folks, mostly due to the type of e-liquid. This goes for any atomizer though. I can easily go through 15ml before the carto stops working well, as long as the e-liquid isn't too dark. The price of cartomizers can vary a bit from one vendor to another (~$1 to $1.50 each), usually cheaper if you punch your own holes (there's a
tool for that). There are rebuildable tank cartos (The Diver, Killer 705, Killer clone), but they are just not the same. They are probably the hardest NR-R-NR coils to make due to the size, and are pretty expensive (except for the Killer clone). Start with some regular cartomizers and give them a try first. Even PBusardo, who can afford to try just about anything still uses cartotanks sometimes. Just be sure to get Boge cartomizers, at least at first.
