Just found a scorpion in my kitchen sink. How'd it get there?

Let's pretend scorpions are good luck. You and Schnarph have both found one now. In the sink? I think the bad news is that he crawled in there from the counter and did the "help, I've fallen and I can't get up" thingie! Now, how did he get on your counter? That is a point to ponder. I find HUGE wolf spiders in the tub all the time so I ask the same question. I think those crawl up the shower curtain and fall in...otherwise it leaves the drain and I just don't want to think about that...nope, not gonna think about that...oh hell, now I'm thinking about it!

hysterectomy ... makes sense to me...

#3 Oh.... my..... Hope everything goes ok. My sister had to have an ovary removed a couple years ago. It was really scary, and all my best thoughts and wishes go out to you guys... Take really good care of her. She's going to be in a lot of pain for a while. Poor thing. :(

This wasn't an emergency situation, but she's been having a host of issues. The immediate problems aside, this is best...

Scorpions..... hmmmm I think the animal kingdom has gone out of whack

It's the damned platypus of invertebrates ...

3) N-E-T.com contest update: 30ml of free juice has been added to the mix. So the winner will get three dripping atomizers and 30ml of juice! In the immortal words of Abba, take a chance on me.

I'm fairly new here, is it Kosher to post into someones contest thread about a different contest being ran on your own website?

Supposed to be at work at 8am, wifey woke me up at 7:50: "arent you supposed to be in soon?!"
woulda been nice to have my 2 alarms go off, but somehow, someway, that didnt happen. fortunately, i had a remaining schedule change to use for the month and called in to request my opposite shift of 12-9. phew, crisis avoided.
a few posts to respond to:

More battery talk, just skip it if you're not interested. I'm not trying to make you folks read boring techi-talk...

What he said ^^^^. EH are not bad batteries, at least their IMR batteries are for real. As to the fuses, I can only give accurate info on what I own, the ShortStop. It's important to know that the ShortStop kicks in at 5 amps, cutting off continuity. Using Ohm's law will tell you if the coil resistance is too low for the ShortStop. 4.2 volts at 5 amps allows for a 0.84 ohm coil at the lowest. Another important factor when using the Ohm's law calculator is that your Lithium battery should be 4.2 volts when fully charged. Input 4.2 for voltage into the calculator along with at least one other known variable (ohms, watts, or amps). The 3.6 or 3.7 volts that Lithium batteries are rated at is a general voltage rating and you can almost ignore that for these purposes. Playing with the calculator a bit will give you an idea of why APVs have low ohm limitations, mostly due to the max amperage the circuitry can handle. PWM and other boost circuitry helps, but only so much.

These amp limitations are why folks want to use mechs for low ohm coils, it's often the only way it will work. At that point you better know the specs on your batteries and ohm's law, at a minimum. The general rule for guessing the amp limits of a Li-Mn (IMR) battery is Amp hours times 8, example: 2000mAh = 16 amps max, usually far less than that for continuous. This can obviously vary as some have different chemistry, allowing for higher amperage while sacrificing battery life (mAh) or higher battery life while sacrificing max continuous output. 20 and 30 Amp batteries exist, but they sacrifice mAh and you shouldn't need that anyways unless you are looking to go under the limits of a 10 amp battery... 0.42 ohms (crazy). It's nice when the amperage ratings are listed, but some vendors and even manufacturers won't give these details. The maximum stated mAh that I have come across for an IMR with a 10 amp continuous output rating is the Efest 2600 mAh IMR 18650 (which Ray sells at a very decent price). There are others that have a higher mAh rating, but they are usually hybrids and I'm trying to stick with pure Li-Mn batteries here.

I could be wrong... don't take my word for it!
Thank you again S for the info!! I like how you lay it out and make the information more understandable. I took a look at my batts before leaving today for work. the 18650 is a highdrain efest IMR, the 18500 is a EH IMR. Ill do a search (after work) for an inexpensive shortstop. I dont think i will ever drop below .9ohm, so if i understand correctly this will work fine with the batteries i already have? As the battery looses charge from use thru the day, will it stop working while it still holds a charge because it cant power below a certain voltage on a low ohm (.9) coil? and do i lose anything (power) by having the shortstop in? let me rephrase, is there a disadvantage to using a shortstop?

I've never used a tank before, just clearos...Interested in them though, I think. Local B&M doesn't carry them. Of course, I'm still a newbie and get my info from here! Nice to read the battery talk, I'm upgrading now, but looking to upgrade to rechargeable batteries in the next couple of months though. Maybe before my cruise? I wonder how one would bring or pack up their vaping equipment for such a trip...It's not like I can bring my pretty wooden vape box! Any suggestions?
Traveling is not hard with PVs. I though security might be a concern, but the only thing that happened was a TSA agent pulled out my vamo and wanted to know where i got it, how much it was and how well does it work compared to an ego.
The only mistake i made traveling, was bringing too much! better than not enough though. Extra batteries, ~6 tanks, 8 juices, syringe (i found this to be unnecessary thou with thin tipped bottles to fill the screw holes on the tanks), extra cartos, carto punch, with everything triple bagged. on the plane i experienced a little leaking, a few drops from the tanks, but not much at all. will do the same configuration next trip (whenever that may be!?)

2) "Twerk" has been added to the Oxford Dictionary. Frickin' Miley Cyrus! Ugh. This seriously makes my head hurt (or it could be the possible ear infection that I have). Twerk, twerking, and twerked are not real words!!!! The Oxford Dictionary should not encourage such nonsense. I want to punch something.
i dont see this as a problem. a dictionary, especially a prestigious one, should contain all words used in the english language. which means actively keeping up with "new" words. i am under the assumption, that most words used today are "newer" as our language is constantly evolving. it is necessary to record and define english words as they become used and prevalent. (even if they will be forgotten in a year or two)

I got vape mail this morning!!! I can't wait to try these TREE JUICES, they smell amazing!

YUM YUM YUM!!!
You will love em, you made great a great choice with the juices you selected!
08/28 Entry #2 . . .

I mentioned in a few post throughtout ECF about traveling with "Vape" gear and "E-Liquids" . . . More recently, I had a conversation with "Levisdaddy" in the last contest thread . . . Which is here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...m/456845-weekly-contest-56-win-free-tank.html . . . Just read through the thread or do an advance search for those "post" by "Uncle" and hopefully "You" will find what you need to know . . . ;)

Well - Although that one is suppose to represent the Construction Worker "Mark Mussler" - then if "You're" seeing a "Pope-Hat" that one must be "Ray" . . .

Now - Since I will be traveling most of the day . . . 1)
yellow-taxi-cab-animation.gif
To the Airport . . . 2) then to Philadelphia . . . AND 3) Finally to NYC . . .

I'm gonna try and get a couple of more post in before I have to go . . .
Have a great and safe trip!!
I am jealous, as i have been daydreaming about being back in NY.

3. 8/28- Good morning! There was coffee, and it was good.

"Twerk". Can't say I mind words being defined, it can only help those that have no clue or aren't that interested. I would rather look up the definition than attempt to infer the meaning by listening to a song or watching a video, especially on this subject. It could have been tweeting while at work, or working like a twerp. It only took 10 seconds to find out all I want to know about that word. This was funny: "Origin: 1990s: probably an alteration of work".
haha, "probably" !!

Carry on...

It is good to have an established and reliable source. the Urban Dictionary is user created and not always accurate :)

Bah, spiders are okay. They make great pets - you don't have to love them, walk them, bathe them. You only have to give them a little water and a cricket now and then, and clean up the mummified spider-turds every now and then. Avoid the fangs. If you get one with an attitude, wear leather gloves while changing water/cleaning tank.

4) If Ray asked me to, I'd stop. The article is about e-liquid, which Ray doesn't sell. The contest is open to anyone, but I'd love people from the Triple V community to win so they can get free stuff. I'm not going to rig a contest, but would enjoy it if someone from the communities I actively participate in (Ahlusion, Valley View Vapes, The Vape Tree) won.
