2. 9/22- I'm surprised that nobody has quoted this yet...
It is silent in my house except for the fans and the dog licking his... well, use your imagination.
I still haven't caught my dog licking his naughty parts. I'm not going to use weed killer so there are stickers out here, poor little guy licks his feet after he finds those... and I thought I hated stickers.

Apparently your dog has a greater sense of propriety?

I don't think cotton melts, I think it just burns LOL I can understand the fear in it though... one trick I saw once... person filled a styrofoam cup with water, put an egg in it, and put it above a fire. The styrofoam where the water was didn't burn or melt. I guess the water kept it cool enough... the egg eventually boiled and we enjoyed a hard boiled egg from an open fire cooked in a styrofoam cup

that's what i'm saying.. it burns at a lower temperature than silica melts.

3. 9/22- The only thing my dog finds fascinating is the view out the window. Seeing deer in "the yard" is very common, and a cotton tail rabbit is usually around here somewhere and occasionally a few peahens or peacocks. He gets to go outside plenty, but if he's awake he's looking out a window. If there wasn't a good spot for him to look out the window I'm afraid of what he would do while he's inside...

I still haven't tried cotton yet. I have a bunch of it ready to use, but after half a tank the silica wicks in my new RTA (Hercules) taste just fine. As long as it gets refilled with fruit flavors I may not need to re-coil it for weeks. I have no intention of using cotton in an RDA, so it my be a while before I find out how great it is for a wicking material.

I didn't read the story, but who is to say that they were following all of the precautions that I am sure are listed on the package etc...

It doesn't say...
It could have sat, plugged in when the car was 160F for 6 hrs before igniting. Car starts, sudden power-surge and boom!
I'm curious what the 3y/o was doing in the in the front, or the e-cig was doing in the back...

That was my first thought, what was a charging lithium battery doing in the hands of a 3 year old in a car seat?
Many cigalikes and even Ego batteries have the cheapest unprotected cells in them, and I don't mean "safer" IMR chemistry. I don't want government regulation on e-cigarettes, but if companies are allowed to sell dangerous junk something needs to be done. Many of them don't come with any warnings or instructions of any kind, not that most folks would bother to read anything.

#2 Had a very lazy Sunday, the first one in a very long time. Now I must decide what to make for dinner. All of our VVV foodies seem to have disappeared, so I haven't had an abundance of inspiration from this thread in a while. Lisa, Akatina, and GaMntGrl were always a wealth of info about food. Now I have to resort to internet searches for new recipes. Poor me....;)
