Weird experience

I was grabbing a drink at the gas station. I saw cigarettes and bought a pack. Without thinking, I planned on smoking. Couldn't say why, I just planned on smoking a couple. I snapped out of it when I got back to my office. I threw away the pack and thought, "what the hell was I thinking?" Sad I wasted 7 bucks. Happy I was smart.

For weeks after I stopped buying analogs at my local convenience store, the counter guy would automatically grab a carton and put it in front of me. Not to be a jerk, he honestly considered it a courtesy, since I had bought a carton a week for years ...

Several times I started counting out $20s to pay for the smokes, then I would catch myself ...

Old habits die hard ...

7 bucks for the piece of mind that you're really a non-smoker is money well spent, IMHO. Nice job, and vape on!

I'm pretty much beyond the "jonesin" days, but even with my vape it was tough at first. Folks are on this forum to help, so log in any time you need a little reassurance. I know this forum is a major factor in me sticking to it.

I can understand that - I went into a Tabac/Newsagents last week for the first time since December last year to buy a birthday card and had to stop myself saying "... and a packet of Benson & Hedges please" when I went to the counter to pay - old habits die hard

I think we all go thru that I did the same thing 2 weeks ago I used to always buy 2 bottles of faygo and 3 packs of camels well I grabbed 2 faygos went to the register when the girl ask if there would be anything else I blurted out 3 packs camel crush then realized what I was doing had her put em back and apologized

How many times have we all thrown away $5-$7 bucks at a time smoking cigarettes...now we have so much to show for our money. You made a great choice!

I had weird thing happen this week end. Sitting down wind from smoker at car wash. At first I thought no biggie, a little smoke coming my way isn't gonna bother me. I don't want to be one of "those ex-smokers". But before they had finished their cigs, I started getting dizzy as heck. My head was spinning. I was afraid to get up from chair, thought I would stumble. Finally my head stopped spinning and I got up and went around the corner away from the smoke. I eat lunch twice a wk with a smoker and no problem. But this time problem. Maybe it's was cuz 2 of them smoking and wind hitting me right in the face.

I recently stayed at an hotel and noticed a sign that said "all rooms were non smoking rooms, $500 would be charged to you for deodorizing room if it was detected you smoked in it". I vaped all week n my room and enjoyed it, ha ha. After a while you won't even notice the analog rack when you checkout. You will notice how much wallymart stinks with all the smokers at the entrance, I usually start holding my breath when I enter the parking lot. I guess you are totally reformed when this happens.

i had done that and you are definitely not alone there. I'm in New York so it's a very expensive habit, $8-10 a pack and I only smoked camel crushes I couldn't even deal with the cheap cigs from indian reservations but anyway I had picked up a pack only able to handle 1 cig and ended up giving the rest to a friend. I've been fully cigarette free since November so if I had one now I'd probably get very light headed who knows it might even make me puke

About a week and a half from my quit date (I had dual used for about 3 weeks before quitting), I asked for a pack without thinking. Providence smiled on me that day because they were out of my brand. I left the counter empty-handed, got in my car, and reached for my vape. Life was good again!

Two years vaping, and when I come out of a restaurant, I still reach for the pocket on my purse where I used to keep the ciggies... No craving, just muscle memory.
