I had been a tobacco user for about 20 years I went from cigarettes to chewing tobacco. I enjoyed smoking but was scared of the health issues along with it. We all know chewing tobacco is alot higher in nicotine than cigarettes. That being said I was planning on using the e cig to help me kick the bucket. I know that e-cigs are not stop smoking aids but they can be used as one if someone wants to.

So I purchased a Janty Dura-c and some liquid
(coffee and imitation dr pepper) from dietsmoke the liquid was from LiquidXpress. I was only able to Vape for 4 days then had to stop. I did not have the usual allergic reactions to PG. Instead my reactions were as follows: blurred vision, hot flashes accompanying being faint, not being able to concentrate, thoughts were wandering making it hard to focus, my sense of balance was gone, and a hyper sensitivity to touch. My Doctor told me to quit using it and call the office on a daily basis for the next 4 days to see if I was better. Well it is now the 5th day and I feel great thank God but I'm back to using chewing tobacco.

I ordered some EcoPure from innovapure on the 11th since it has VG instead of PG. I have had no word as of yet about it being shipped. "That worries me" So I guess the moral of my story is if what I experienced was a bad reaction to PG than damn. People that decide to use these better do it in moderation till they know how their body is going to react to it.

I just hope that EcoPures VG liquid will be right for me if I ever get it that is if the FDA hasn't started seizing shipments to residentual addresses.

Sorry for the long winded write up. I just had to convey that yes these are safer than tobacco but there are those that don't react well to it. So to say that these are truely safe would be wrong. It still has its risks

.... we are all different and have allergies to different things. if you can rule out other causes, then it's possible that you do have an allergy to PG. something i havn't seen mentioned so far is the possibilty of being allergic to the actual flavourings and/or additives in the liquid. maybe you will be alright with VG but you should take it easy to start with.

.... everything that we do has risks to some degree. it is about making a choice with the information available and weighing up the risks versus the benefits. I for one feel that any associated risks with vaping far outweigh the nastiness of burning and inhaling smoke form leaves wrapped in paper. good luck with your VG

sounds almost like you might need lower nic level juice.
If you're vaping a lot - and with even a medium (18mg) nic juice could be your system just can't tolerate that level of nicotine.

I'm not a dr. - so I'm just sharing some thoughts.
With the great flavors it's easy to 'chain vape' and watching how much nicotine you vape - by getting a low/er level liquid for when you want to take the same amt of 'drags' as you would in smoking a cig.

All the best!

I was only using 1 cart a day and I have not tried dripping. And I wasn't getting too much nicotine either. I only vaped once an hour if not less(4 or 5 puffs). I have no other health problems, and the side affects went away in about 4 days after I stopped vaping. Hey I don't want the Government taking these away from us but I do believe that there needs to be alot more research, testing and etc done. I'm really hope that the ECOpure stuff is good I mean it should be, you know only 4 ingredients is in the stuff.

Hey LngTym,

I'm sorry I know it was a typing mistake, but that made me laugh. Yes, I do have a morbid sense of humor.

Sorry to hear about the bad side effects you're having. I hope the VG works for you.

Some of us have had issues like this long term...I've been vaping a few months, tried all the variations of nic,pg/vg, etc...but I have a thyroid problem, and changing from smoking to vaping set that off, and I also got a flu- type bug that some others have had. You may need to transition more slowly from tobacco to vaping, some people can't seem to move right into vaping without feeling sick. Take it slow...I jumped right over, that may have not been best for me.

Hi all sorry it's taken me a bit to respond to this, I'm on vacation in FL. I'll be back in Cali on Mon. LngTym, I'm sorry you had a bad reaction to PG, I've heard of it happening to a few people. That said I think that maybe posting this info in the general forums or new members forum (the bit about PG instead of VG) so that anyone experiencing this issue will know what it's maybe be. I don't believe it's derived exclusively from our product but I do appreciate you posting it in our forum and hope you share your experience so that others can use your findings for themselves.

We all know chewing tobacco is alot higher in nicotine than cigarettes. 1 can of dip contains the equivalant of 300 cigarettes worth of nicotine. So it wasn't the nicotine It was either the PG or something else in the liquid

I agree with you that it probably wasn't that you were getting too much nicotine, but some of your symptoms sound like nicotine withdrawal. It could be that you weren't using your e-cig enough to make up for the nicotine you were getting from chewing tobacco. ....Not sure you would want to test that theory though!

I hope the VG works for you. :)

So to say that these are truely safe would be wrong. It still has its risks

Thats like saying "Don't tell me sandwiches are truly safe, it has risks"

I mean that literally - and this isn't a knock on you, just that statement. People have allergies - and if someone had a peanut allergy they weren't aware of, or ate something they didn't check to see if there were peanuts used, then they would have a bad reaction.

I'd recommend everyone pay attention on their usage, and try to find out if they have allergies that would aversely effect their use of e-cigs.

Good luck with the VG!
