(Pouting) I'm still on Purchase Probation. And still waiting for my last order to finish steeping (especially the Orange tobacco Exotic!)

Except, um, I have opened the latest bottle of Orange de Sangre ahead of schedule. I couldn't help it!! My last bottle was all used up, even to the very last drop! (Nota bene: at just under 3 weeks, the Orange was plenty "ripe" to my tastes! YAY! :))

(I may go wild and try the Vanilla Bourbon Bean and Amaretto early as well!)

SAY IT ISN"T SOOO!!!....

I'm actually thinking of trying to "push" the steep... I'm getting anxious to try the other two tobacco's ... So I just put them in hot water, then I'll repeat again a time or two shaking them up in between. I figure if it's too early, they can steep in a clearo just as easy as a bottle.

no way El!!! :D

Good to see some of the new faces trying some HB juice. I'm going to have to try some of these coffees, they sound really good. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and Happy Easter!

Let me tell ya... Bryan brews a very smooth cup... so smooth, I'm even thinking of trying his Expresso.. and I think the Cappuccino and Bavarian Hazelnut cream are both no brainers.

I've also got to go back to work... I left my new Coffee that I put into a new clearo while at work and left it sitting on my desk... I'd thought I was going back right after a quick trip to the grocery and then supper, but the work I was doing was still going an hour ago... se la vi...

haha, not giving you any lip, I'm happy you are enjoying the juice, it just surprised me to see the steep Nazi say that! :D

My mom tasted my Cynder'ella Tea and she is in love with it too now. She wanted to fill a carto! I have to share this? NOOOOOO. lol. On another note the watermelon dated 3/20 has only 1/4 of the bottle left. So I guess I like it a lot. So it has steeped (what's left of it) for 2 weeks? It definitely toned down in the initial taste and is much more like real watermelon now, though with a slight sweetness that *almost* makes it want to be candy but not quite. hehe

rdsok, sounds good, think I'll probably try the dark roast w/ cream and sugar as well.

Got back from work... I went to check on the bottles I had sitting in the ( now cooled off ) hot water and replace it with "fresh" and I found that the plastic bag I'd placed the bottles in... wasn't water tight and there was almost nothing left of the labeling... After a bit of cussing and then changing my pants... I dried off the bottles the best I could then headed into the bathroom to put them in front of the hair drier...

The Coffee I'd gotten was different enough to recognise it without any label... that left 3 others to figure out. I still had a bit of the Menthol I'd gotten earlier and I just matched it with one of the new bottles by smell... Got lucky on the French Pipe being able to just make out "Pipe"... and verified the tabac de Perique by the "que".... So finally, certain other parts of my body were finally able to unpucker... lol

Taking into consideration that this batch has had the steeping rushed... this is just a preliminary report... also all tabacco flavors had mentol added if they didn't have it to start with.

Menthol ( new bottle ) - I had to at least sample the new bottle to see if the rush steeping did any good or not... It did, this one almost tastes like the one I got on Mar 23 after it had steeped for a week. It isn't quite as mellow yet, but very close and would certainly work just fine this way... I've really grown to crave the flavor this one brings after it is steeped... It will be in my rotation for a long time.

tabac de Perique - I can see why cig smokers are drawn to this flavor. It is just a little lighter in flavor than the Exotic ( as used in the Menthol )... perhaps just a bit... I don't know if I want to say smoother or rounder... While really too early to say, I'd say this is going to be my cig replacement flavor... I can't wait to see how it develops over the next week.

French Pipe - OMG... OMG... OMG... OMG... did I say OMG... This is simply delicious and a really wonderful suprise. I had ordered this in it's milder form and it is great this way... I knew it had cherry in it, but it really stands out right now without be overbearing, I suspect it ( the cherry ) will mellow over time which will bring it into perfect balance with the refined pipe tabacco flavor... This is everything you'd want in a pipe... simply awesome stuff. I really like this "milder" version but I think that the standard version would be equally as good and perhaps even better for a pipe smoker.

Ok... I haven't made anything easier on myself with this order... in fact it may be worse LOL ( in a good way ). I am going to have to keep each of these on hand... period. I mentioned how much I like the French Pipe just the way it is now... I also think the very same recipe but using apple instead of cherry would be another awesome variety.

LOL. I'd panic too. hope you changed your pants other than the reason I thought it was. :- )

If you say one more OMG, I don't think that my will's strong enough to let my full bodied Franch pipe steep. I was occasional pipe smoker. One of the reason I picked this one. ;- )
OMG... I wish Bryan steep these before sending out.. !

Darn it... just thought of another down side with French Pipe... If I continue to vape it and any variation of it... I'm going to be forced to get a good smoking ( vaping ) jacket or it just won't be right... :D

Randy

. . . . I love a man in a nice smoking jacket! :wub::laugh:

And thanks to your experiment, I may just have to try that "rush steeping" method (of course, with a WATER-TIGHT plastic bag only! :D).

+1 on the water tight bag... :D

I refreshed the hot water ( out of the tap in my case and I also shook them well each time ) three different times... I felt it was almost but not quite equivalent to a week's worth of steeping. I suspect, from what you've said about liking to go 4 weeks, that it would take a few more times for you to like yours.

Bryan can probably explain the science behind it better or at least more accurately... but as I see it we are looking for 3 types of things to happen when we steep and the process should address two of those... Both the heat and agitation helps with mixing the ingredients quicker than just setting around... The heat is also going to help certain chemical processes happen a bit quicker... What I don't think either helps with are chemical processes related to oxidation and similar processes since oxygen ( or other molecules ) aren't going to get in much quicker, granted some of the ingredients probably do break down quicker still... At least that is my guesstimation on the process... for what it is worth.

I will have to agree with you there rdsok regarding the hot water bath speeding up the overall combining of the juice components. Tried it myself and it worked with certain flavors at least although it was tested with a menthol blend. I would assume it works for other flavors as well. :D

I think Meemers is on a mini vacation. Spoke with her recently and she should be back soon. :toast: I miss her too! hehe

Hello highbrow hat tippers!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday with their loved ones. We celebrated Easter and my grandpas 88 bday, it's been a busy day! :)

I was wondering Bryan, now that u have a few months of business under your belt, what do u think about starting a new business? Has it been like u hoped? Any surprises? Disappointments? Where do u want to be a year from now? What would u tell someone who was considering going into this industry?

U know how I am, I am endlessly fascinated by this new industry, and I love hearing how ppl feel about making their mark on it :) and of course u don't have to answer.

I am hoping to place a new order in the next week or so, I am ready to get some new juices to try. Plus I still have to get my mits on some waffle juice!!

Chat more after I get some shut eye, tomorrow will be here way too soon for this tired mama

Hello all...

I also hope everyone had a great Easter and/or Passover... My family met this year at my parents and as usual, Mom fixed way too much... so I'm still full even 8 hrs later.

Friday and Saturday I went over everything about vaping I could think of with a friend that is showing a lot of interest. He opted to go with a KGO starter kit... and of course some Highbrow Vaper e-liquid... He picked Cigar to start out with and I wish I had a bit more time with the tabac de Perique, I'd would have suggested he pick up some for his wife... but he can order some for her later if she shows an interest. I'd give her a sample of mine, but I like menthol in mine and I don't think she smokes methol cigs...

For myself... with all of my chatting with friends about vaping and helping them select their own equipment etc... I've been wanting another PV ( it will be my 4th since Feb when I started )... I had several criteria that I wanted this one to meet... I wanted something sturdy and still attractive no matter how I configured it with an atty, carto, clearo or tank... stainless steel meets both of those. I wanted it to use a commonly used battery size with a good capacity... that means either a 14500, 18500 or 18650 with me leaning towards the 18650 the most. Having a regulated power, VV, VA or VW would be nice as well.

Puresmoker has been working on a new mod they are calling the Legacy and it fits all of the qualities I was interested in... so tonight I pre-ordered it. I'm really excited about having it on order and can't wait until it finally is shipped and gets here. It will be nice to finally have a device worthy of Byan's creations...

Glad u found a winning combo Redgirl, now I have another concoction to add to my ever growing list! :)

Oh yeah, it's a good one! I found myself liking more fruity stuff lately, and my favorite drink is an amaretto sour, can't beat that! And I finally got a 2nd tank so I can swap them instead of having 1 tank and then dripping. Just a dc tank and the XL Boges work great in it.
