Mech mods are simply unsafe consumer electronic devices. So don't be bashing the OP if you also use a mech.

Not ONLY mech modz iz "unsafe" even ego style batts have been recalled and PLENTY of regulated device's have had to have their "kinks" worked out...just saying, a remote haz a CHANCE of exploding if you use rechargeables or even if not...NO electronic device is entirely "safe"

Just got done reading 22 pages of a bunch of BS and all I can say is WOW! This thread is exactly why I limit where I go on this forum.

There have been a few good people here that were definitely helpful but otherwise the rest was a waste of everyones time.

I think there are way too many people that worry way to much about things. It's user error, it's user error; thats a bunch of bs. Maybe it was something as simple as a defective device, maybe it was user error; who the hell knows, we weren't there and we do not know all the actual facts. Everyone just wanted to ASSume.

The OP was just sharing a rare event that no one wants to encounter. Most everyone here fears for their lives because of this incident; however they do not account for the fact that it is far more dangerous for each one of us just to leave our houses every day than this one event. Just look at this messed up world we live in with all the crazy a** sheet that goes on on a daily basis; idiots on the road doing stupid crap, people shooting eachother, etc. I think many need to rethink things and look at the whole picture of where we all live and what goes on around us everyday instead of crying over this. There are far more dangerous things that we deal with on a day to day basis but those have obviously been overlooked. We live in a dangerous world and horrible things happen every second of the day...probably user error. I think many need to wake up and come back into reality

The only reason I came here is cause of a fellow member pointing me here. Sad to say this was a huge disappointment and a waste of my time.
and to those that "know it all" I believe you shouldn't post some of the non-sense unless you have had first hand experience and maybe some have, but didn't sound like it to me. Just like to point fingers and belittle people.
Some things that we think would be obvious to notice are not always as obvious as they would seem to be

Enjoy yourselves here, be safe and have a good week;)

I was expecting a selfie with at least one celeb photobomb and a small crater where the mod was. And a couple lens flares.

Stained clothing and chunks of concrete would have put it over the edge.

This went from a friendly warning and some folks trying to help too a Charlie Foxtrot.

No wonder the OP hasn't posted here in 3 days.

Agreed. You know, we do pretty good most of the time, but this type of topic is not our strong suit

Just one tiny question.... why do you use "z" in stead of "s" occasionally?

To zee if anyone noticez andz to take the edge off of a volatilez zituation from timez to timez....I have noticed even small differences make a large overall impact on how people interpret what you say, most of what I say is sarcastic and supposed to be humorous but everyone took it offensively so I paid attention to smaller detailz to get the same points across without pissing people off too much (other than my first two threads...I was being a ..... lol)

Glad your safe op. Next time, make sure your mod is locked. That's the only explanation for this.

A few pages back I provided an example of a locked mod that fired, here it is again...I purchased a new authentic MCR101 directly from the manufacturer, it's a respected brand of high quality... right out of the box it auto-fired 3 times, twice while unlocked and in hand, and the 3rd time it fired it was locked and standing upright, it fired due to a Delrin insulator ring that was a fraction to thin, so a locked mod doesn't mean it can't fire, a new insulator was installed and problem solved.

I think you have provided proof of the 10% of accidents due to manufacturer defect!!!!!!! Now how do we explaint to everyone else they fall into the 90% category?

I have been following my post carefully over the past few days. Once again I would like to thank the people on here who did not decide to immediately jump down my throat for what happened to me. The purpose of this post was to inform the community that these things CAN happen, like I said before. Can, not will, and to see what theories other people on this site had to offer. I still cannot say what exactly happened in the situation I found myself in. I can certainly see after how many people blew up over this why others would be hesitant to share their negative stories, but I encourage anyone on this site that has had a scare like mine to share their story regardless of SOME people being jerks, because the ones who aren't arses can be very helpful in trying to figure out what may have gone wrong with a vaping device, and very supportive.

Too many opinions based off of baseless emotions and hyped up opinions.

I don't know why I get sucked into these train wrecks of idiocy.

Deleted...

Because when there's a wreck we look & look & look even harder hoping not to see a dead body laying on the ground.
Then we move on to the next wreck!

I'm pretty certain the exaggerating crazies would be highly delighted to find a dead body.

And they'd probably claim it was a 400 megaton thermonuclear e-cig even if they'd been hit by a truck.
