well rounded selection of juices? (vape tongue)

hey all, how's the vape?

currently i'm vaping a blackberry flavor. i've tried a bunch of different kinds (from friend's ecigs - a buddy of mine actually was a mobile salesman/juice mixer who made my absolute FAVORITE blackberry flavor) and i'm a a little nervous about getting "vape tongue", or "vaper's tongue" or "vape mouth" or whatever you'd call it.

i'm wondering if anyone has a series of juice flavors they go through - and i know preference will have a LOT to do with it. i'm looking to find a collection of flavors that i like, and that will never let my vaping get tasteless.

then i thought, "why not ask ECF?" so!

how many flavors do you guys have, and what are your personal favorites?

I have at least 25-30 flavors right now, and tried quite a few more that I ran out of - and I know that's nothing compared to the long time vapers here!

It's all personal, what some love, others hate. I'm getting past the newness of it all, and realized how many "sweet" flavors I had, so I want to start getting into more varieties. My first down that road turns out to be Boba's Bounty, which I'm enjoying right now - graham cracker, raisin, caramel...very dry, not sweet, crumbly - love it, it's nice change from "OMG SWEET!" I'm thinking of plunging into some tea based ones soon.

If you've found an all day flavor in blackberry, go with it! Enjoy it, and have some others, because there will come a day you're bored with it. The best part of vaping is the huge selection out there!

My daily rotation right now is:

Boba's Bounty - dry, savory, in a carto tank
Tasty Vapors Strawberries and Cream - sweet and mild, in a carto tank
Tasty Vapors Lemon Pound Cake - OMG SWEET in my ProTank mini
Halo's Kringle's Curse (peppermint) - mint!, in my Protank 2

In my whole collection i think i have around 20-30 juices. Im continually changing the flavours out as i use a dripper when im at home.

My personal favourites at the minute have to be Vanilla Custard and the "Burst O Flavor" Range. The Burst of Flavor range gives impressive clouds and huge flavor.

Also i would recommend having a menthol flavour in your collection just in case vapers tongue does hit and you can shock them back to life.

Honestly just test some juices and find ones that you like. They don't have to be "all day vapes" but just something you can enjoy from time to time. I go through a few different ones. I was vaping candy cane all day everyday and it just started tasting like nothing. So I started rotating more frequently. I currently have in rotation is candy cane, peach green tea, green apple, and gummy bear. If you haven't check on mt baker vapor. Its beyond cheap and the juice is great! Just test and try and find ones you like.

billywj - holy guacamole batman! 25+ flavors? that's either insanity or good planning. perhaps both xD i'll have to check out boba's bounty

asht - holy cow! so many flavors! i'm a big fan of the vanilla flavors too, so thanks for that reminder - i'll have to try one the next time i stop by a b&m. also, i'm not sure if i can stand a mint/menthol flavor >.< i'm currently trying to get one out of a standard clearo :s but! i will look for one i can stand.

twostepjake - that's true! i just don't want to constantly have to switch tanks when i feel like a different flavor. i suppose it's going to happen anyway -.- and again - not a huge fan of mint xD

billywj and asht - i'm assuming you don't go through each flavor every day (props and wow that's one heck of a dedication to your juices if you do); do flavors get better after they steep or is that just for the nicotine juice to mix properly?

inkb0n3s, I have more than 20-30 flavors (although I'm beginning lately to discover what I really like and concentrate more on just a few....). I also have LOTS of tanks of various kinds, lots of inexpensive batteries, and several "good" PVs. I change flavors constantly and don't have to refill or even change tanks every time to do it. You should see the number of PVs SOME people have!!!! Yeah, some of us have gone crazy!!

Yes, some flavors taste a lot better after a few days or weeks, you have to learn which ones or from what makers....some sites will tell you whether or not they pre-steep, or how long their juices need steeping.

Changing flavors frequently does seem to help prevent vaper's tongue, or prevent it. So does drinking a lot of water, using mouthwash, eating something that is strongly flavored or spicy or sour, etc.....Lots of tricks, takes a while to learn 'em all.

Steeping tends to increase the flavour in your juice. Any new juice I get I try before steeping for a sort of before and after gauge. Leave it for 5-7days in a dark place, shaking it everyday and also leaving the cap off for the air to react in the juice. Some juices get darker others dont, depends on the flavour and mix.

I use a full tank of one juice then move on. I will drip other flavours if I feel like vapours tongue is setting in (when you cant taste your vape anymore)

I have probably 20-25 flavors in my rotation with maybe half that being ADVs. I usually vape a flavor in the morning and on the way to work, switch to a different flavor for work and then another for on the way home. Once I get home it might be a flavor for the rest of the evening or several in rotation. For me it seems if I vape the same flavor for more than 2 days it will start to taste like Irish Spring, no matter what flavor.
So I just switch them up before that happens

Sorry, but there isn't a collection of flavors that will guarantee you'll never get vapors tongue. Don't let the thought of vapors tongue scare you. Its irritating to not be able to taste your juice for a part of a day or even day or two but it doesn't last forever and won't happen often.

For the first few years of vaping I changed flavors 5 or 6 times a day. I experienced vapors tongue a couple times during my first year where it lasted for an entire day so I just vaped my less favorite juices since I couldn't taste them anyways No vapors tongue since that first year and now I often only change flavors when I've finished a bottle of juice and need to start a new one.

whenever I get "vapors tongue" I just eat a dill pickle spear - resets my taste buds and I am good to go

I've seen it mentioned that vapers tongue is caused be taste bud overload from being exposed to much flavor. Some vapers revert back to unflavoured juice to reset their taste buds. Worth a shot if you suffer from it. I have had it a couple of times but it has been gone the next day.
