I have been waiting for some items to come in to build a few mods. Not having the ability to wait I started thinking. Looked around the house and found an old weller desoldering pump. This was very easy to make. The batts fit the tube perfectly. Tools used, Drill and some bits, dremel and some solder!
Vapes like a 6V, go figure. Didnt to a great job on the switch, but that can be changed later!
I like the blue!

What did you use for that switch housing? is that part of the solder sucker already?

Yes it was. If I wanted to take more time I could have made a mechanical switch out of it! There are several different ways this could have went together. The bottom spring came from an old flashlight. I really like this, it is very solid feeling. I had fun building it. Next up are some fistpacks and a tekk. As soon as I get the parts in.

right, im just saying if i couldnt get the VV circuit to fit with the 16340's, i can use the cr2's instead.

Before you buy the batts let me get a measurement on these batts and the ID of the tube. Don’t want you buying batts that won’t fit as these are a really nice fit! Give me a bit to get these. Have to run to the store.
The IFR 16340's are 3.2V

I have the 16340's and the cr2's they are 15270's, so considerably smaller than the cr123/16340. The cr2's would be a looser fit then the 16340's. And would give me plenty of room for a VV circuit, im just hoping theres enough with the 16340's, they last quite a bit longer than the cr2's.

If you put the switch on the bottom(end) of the unit it shouldnt be a problem putting a 5V regulator where I have the switch now. I am thinking about putting the switch on the bottom anyway. I dont think it need the regulator myself, I havent tested it yet but im sure the loaded voltage is somewhere in the lower 5V range. Good luck to you, make sure you post it when your done!
