Welp. Looks like I gotta come back to the mechs.

0.8 is 0.2 "normally"(single mech tube). Unless really understanding the implications and what you're doing/precautions, then CDR is the reference to go buy, but you're good :)

Note, about my previous post, then LG HG2 isn't only optimal at under 15a, but was solely in reference to the Samsumg 30Q, where the 30Q has a very slight edge from 15-20a vs the HG2, but both are good 20a CDR cells with high capacity... Personally I love my Samsung 25R's and my 30Q's too. Samsung often underspecs there cells, and the 25Rs really are tough cells that just go on and on repeatedly and holds a good temerature.

LGs are great cells also...

It's my understanding, that even at .8 ohms, with this device, with the series mod, I'm going to be pulling much fewer amps than I would with a single battery mod at .2 ohms. Correct? This is my understanding of the math, and the ohms law calculators seem to agree with me. But since you're here...might as well ask. I'm never one to turn my nose up to new information.

But I'll look into the Samsungs. They sound like good batteries. I actually have a couple of HG2s that I use in my Dripbox (one at a time, it's a single battery device). That device may not be so much a worry, as it's regulated....or so they say. I don't trust Kanger boards as far as I can throw them. Swore them off ages ago, but the price and coolness factor was something I couldn't pass up. So I'm careful and build like I've got a mech, and disconnect the battery when I'm not using it, due to some concerning reviews (Kanger was nice enough to include a battery tightening feature, so I just disengage that).

But anyway, I have no major complaints about the HG2s. Don't really want them for my Noisy Cricket though. It's just that they're dark brown, and generally I take a sharpie to batteries to keep them straight, but these are so dark. I'm just worried about mixing them up. And I won't know if I can put my own wrapper, or tape or anything, on them until I get the Cricket and see how loosely the batteries fit. Certainly don't want to get them stuck. And yes I label my cases. But I just feel avoiding a battery oops with the Cricket is so important. I don't want to leave labeling up to an external device. What if I'm tired? And I take the batteries out of the device to store? What if my other HGs are on the charger? What if I need to charge both sets at the same time? I want a way to tell my batteries apart even if they're both out of the case at the same time.

So I'm probably going to go for the Samsungs.

I could be wrong, but I think he was refering to the wattage output of those two builds being equal. Meaning, don't think a .2 build is the same on both.

I gather from your posts though, that you know that.

Oh no, I know that wattage is increased with the series set up.

I'm such an idiot, sorry many times guys...

You can clearly see I haven't any series mechs currently or have built for them(or run ohms law calculations on them for some time now)... I confused the "quadruple the resistance for same wattage" with amps too...

You're of course perfectly correct Forkeh, only half the amps used as a single mech as you stated...

Sorry again... :)

Got mine today! That was pretty fast. Very first thing I did with this little guy was take some buffing paper to the edges of the mod. They were pretty darn sharp. I was gentle with my new baby. Didn't hurt the finish. The threads could be smoother as well. I'll probably work on that a bit when I have more time.

So I charged up the batteries, and then threw this bad boy together. Struggled a bit building for it. This Indestructible atty is sort of incredible all by itself. I'm enjoying it thus far. Had a really hard time getting the ohms high enough in duel coil, so I said screw it and went for a single coil build instead....I'm going to have to go wire shopping. All I had laying around was some 24 gauge wire for my standard builds, and some 26 gauge wire for my Griffin. I gotta find something with more surface area if I'm going to build a duel coil. Maybe some Clapton or twisted something or other.

I got a .8 ohm build on this thing with the 24 gauge (I can't imagine using anything thinner). It's amazing how much vapor I'm getting. And the flavor is great. The ramp up time is nothing too, which is kind of a whole new experience for me. I'm used to the heavier gauge wire taking a quick minute to ramp up and give me something good, even at higher wattage.

The only thing I'm not liking about my first try, is that even though I'm getting a plethora of vapor, the throat hit just doesn't seem to be there. I'm going to have to play with the configuration a little bit and see what I can do about that.

Overall, I think it's a cool little gadget. Probably gonna get the conversion kit for it though. It'll make me feel more at ease I think.
