i went to the airshow in geneso, ny. i go there every year and i have been going to this airshow since i was a child. its a mostly WWII airshow, really cool stuff. they had a b17, 2 p51 mustangs, a F4U corsair, a C47 that actually dropped tropps in D DAY, a whole bunch of t6's and other cool stuff. its a really fun show.

anyways i had several interesing observations while at the airshow. first of all i noticed that it seems like america has just about completely quit cigarettes in mass. out of a crowd of several hundred people i think i saw only 3 or 4 people smoking. the guy behind me was using an ego-c, the ecig has really picked up in popularity and cigarettes are slowly becoming ALMOST extinct. hardly no one smokes anymore it seems, this is a good thing. i'm sure that the 1941 historical aircraft group that sponsors the show and owns the grounds will like having fewer and fewer cigarette butts to clean up. the work is all done by volunteers

i showed the guy with the ego-c my lavatube with viva nova tank. he was quite interested. he was having some issues with the ego-c spitting juice into his mouth. i also told him that i DYI and i filled up his tank with some of my juice; he was surprised that i made it myself. i directed him to this website, and told him about the provari and darwin; also told him about some of the websites that i order supplies from. he had an open mind and i gave him more information; it was a positive experience.

I would agree that in NY it is pretty much illegal to smoke anywhere anymore. I moved from NY to Texas about 2 1/2 yrs ago and it is like night and day. EVERYONE is smoking here. I particularly live in an area where it is still legal to smoke in bars and restaurants. I have run into a few converts to PVs but not THAT often. When I do it always is a positive experience.

When people can't legally get their nic fix, they will find another way!

Just my observations and own small opinion.

Keep on vaping!

it is not illegal to smoke at the airshow, i just think that it is so discouraged here that so many people have quit smoking. go to you local gas station and buy a pack of "legal" and taxed smokes it will run you $10 for a pack of named branded cigarettes. thats right $10 for about $4 in product, thats around $6 in taxes. i think being constantly bombarded with anti-smoking advertsing also has an effect. the bad thing about their over inflated taxes in this area is that the black markets thrive (indian reservation). new york state thinks they can get more taxes by raising them that much it only back fires on them. its good that people have quit but i think its the health concerns more then the cost, you can go to the res and get a whole carton for $25.

i do really think that smoking is frowned upon here, i was still smoking at last years airshow and i felt that i was a lepore every time i lit a cigarette. im glad i dont have to feel that way anymore. it is illegal to smoke in certain staduims, however i do not believe that it is illegal to smoke at the airshow. no one goes around and bothers anyone for smoking, its just if you do smoke you are the odd person out.

Wow i wish it was like that in CA. The amount of people that I see smoking is ridiculous. I was just at the StanCo Fair today and its just like walking in a room with 20 people smoking (and drinking beer). I have tried converting people but it seems all the people i talk to are very closed minded about the subject. They just say is that one of those e-cigarettes, and say oh... and dont bother to continue the subject even if i ask if they want to try it. I have gotten a couple of people to try but either dont like the concept or would rather smoke. Seems alot of people are too lazy or have no motivation to quit. Really makes me want to move up to Oregon! (damn california)
