Now I have this guy on the phone telling me that 12mg may not be enough if you are using an inferior product. But he insisted that 12mg was more than enough if you were using HIS product because...

Are you ready for it?

Because his product was so much better at delivering nicotine!!

"512kb should be enough space for anybody" - Bill Gates

P.S. I think I should quit my paralegal job and go open up a kiosk, sounds like there is more money in it! I could glue a couple cheapo 510 sticks to a board along side a big ole purple 'dilch' and ask guys what they would rather puff on! Everyone's closet homophobe will peer pressure them into buying one and I will be rich...

I think most mods do in fact look like dildos lol. Although I own a BB.

I don't really blame this dude for getting annoyed though. I like cig or cigar shaped ecigs myself. They're handy. And a Provari specifically is overkill for me personally. I just want to vape. Not have a gadget. Maybe he thinks the same. Granted, he could do better than a mall cig, but it doesn't mean that answer is Provari.

EXACTLY. For me, my Volt 78mms are "better" than your Provari. I know, you have longer battery life, a bigger tank, etc, etc, etc. I personally like to vape 4-5 different flavors a day. I like having little cartos with not a ton of juice. I like portability, hell, I like to put diamond tips on em and match my outfits to the battery color for the day. Sitting in the office for long periods, I like my clearomizers with the X2 650 mah batteries. I'd rather have 2 650mahs in different colors with different juices in a clearo than 1 1300 mah. FOR ME, it's a better choice.

If the guy comes to you and says, this isn't satisfying. If he wants more vapor, more battery life, and to carry a "vape kit"... then by all means help him. Until then, I'd try to remember that you're dealing with someone that isn't a hobbyist, he's a smoker looking for an alternative. SIMPLE counts sometimes. analog, lighter, flick the bic and smoke. No filling, no syringes, no bottles, no buttons. If simple is better for HIM, it just is. It's HIS experience. We're individuals, not a one size fits all solution. If you try to show him better when he's excited about what he has, of course he's going to get defensive, and has every right to.

maybe set the pro vari up to like 5.5 with some 100% VG and go blow a cheech cloud over him as he's getting some thin vape wisp...would be a funny you tube vid...just sayin'[/QUOTE

I'm picturing this in my mind right now LMBO

Man, aw man, how i did use those "mall eCigs" and they DID get me to lay the "real ones" down.....and that's a GREAT thing!

Just a thought...
I have a lot of PV's including a Provari, but guess what's in my rotation today... A 650mAh embossed eGo with a RN4081 carto, a 901 mini battery (which is three years old) with a 510 carto and 2 mini 808's with 808 cartos. I swear. No lie! lol I am really enjoying the minis again.
Bigger is not necessarily better! Maybe for you it is, but not for everyone.

It's an issue because he got on the defensive about it.
That's all I'm guessing.
No need to act like that when you're doing nothing but trying to help him.

That's all.

He got defensive about it the same way we all get defensive about our own pv's. Everybody has their own style and their own personal prefrences. He may be happy with his mall pv for the rest of his life. I don't understand why there has to be this divide between mod users and non-mod users. We all are in this for the same reasons. The big question is how did the op start the conversation with this guy?

how did i start the conversation??? lol. i simply said "your girlfriend told me that you bought an ecig". he then started to ramble on about how his was better. i said nothing of the sort, he started the conversation in the defensive before i even had a chance to say anything either way about the product that he had purchased. he started by saying that his mall unit was better then a provari. he doesnt even know what a provari really is. frankly he was very ignorant about the whole thing. he did zero research, maybe if he went online and looked at provape's website, read through the specs and got a basic understanding of what a provari is, he might have been impressed with it. but he is an ignorant 21 year old.

i remember what it was like being 21 years old, at the time i was still young and stupid. the idea that cigarettes were already starting to take their toll on my body wouldnt even have crossed my mind at that age. i was still young and stupid; no im 10 years older and allot more wise.

Right on. I just wasn't sure if you took the BMW-owner approach.

All up in your grill..
I don't care what he bought. Your pro-vari is almost certainly better. But you do realize that there is more then one company selling in malls yes? They aren't all pushing rns and lying about what to expect.

Nor can you expect everyone to start out with a fatboy mod. Some folks need a mini to get past the initial leap.

Love us or hate us. Without mall vendors this product would still be obscure and most of you would probaby still be smoking.:2c:

I'd give you my :2c: but the mall guy took it. :D

What you say is true enough, but it’s sad that the majority of mall vendors are snake oil salesmen that know little about the product, will flat out lie and triple the price on their outdated equipment.

I could never figure out that business model. Seeing that people that switch from analogs to vaping will undoubtedly continue getting their supplies from somewhere, why not sell quality products at reasonable prices instead of finding a mark and gouging him for a one shot sale?

Like "computer repair shops" of yesterday, these new mall kiosk type ecig vendors are taking advantage of people's ignorance and gouging the crap out of them. Hopefully it won't leave a sour taste in too many people's mouths.

Just to clarify what ignorance means to me: A lack of knowledge of a given subject, and completely unrelated to one's intelligence.
