were you a non-smoker when you started?

i'm just curious. I was a non-smoker when i started vaping a few months ago. the boyfriend's vape smelled so good i had to try. it tasted great but kicked like a horse. i swiped one of his old setups and got some 0 nic juice of my own. i'm on to my own equipment now and learning more about what's available.

Taking this site's survey just made me wonder how many non-smokers have started vaping and what their reasons might have been. I enjoy vaping at events where i would normally be tempted to snack constantly. now everyone else is nibbling and i'm happily vaping yummy tastes instead.

Not only was I not a non smoker, I was an almost 2 pack a day smoker when I finally quit. Quit the day I started vaping and never wanted to see or smell another cig, let alone light one up and smoke it.

Well I wasn't double fisting a vape in one hand and a smoke in the other when I started.

But I was a long time smoker prior to picking up vaping. I will not go back to smoking.

Working on getting close to the zero nicotine range, I'm at 6mg/ml now.

No, I smoked. And if you can avoid sucking anything but fresh air into your lungs I'd advise it. But if you must, 0mg and a solid mod is certainly the way to go.

I was too, it's always seemed very interesting to me but smoke in general is too harsh for me, the cooler vapor is much better.

I was a "social smoker"...would only smoke analogs on weekends, or every once in a while. Switched to vaping 6 mg juice and don't use analogs at all any more!

A second non smoker. I vape cause I like the mechanics of it.

There were several questions on the survey that were impossible for a non smoker to answer, for example how many cigarets a day did you smoke. There was no 0 answer and you had to answer the question.

No I started when I was young and stupid. I would never start doing either now if I was not already addicted. It sounds like you are vaping to help lose weight. Healthy food and exercise might be a better alternative.

My wife is totally against smoking - but she vapes. She vapes 0 nic but loves it. She is coming off of two close together pregnancies (oops) and she is using the various dessert type flavors (cheesecakes, chocolates, etc) as her craving killer while dieting. It was intriguing to me!

No, I tried my buddys Ego twist with a kanger tank and just walked into a vape shop and Bought a Magneto with a Genesis AGA T-2. It was a little bit much to just dive into but I had a feeling I would love it, and I still do.
