Mine is acting up but not because it has been wet (never has). Its allmost 6 months old only used when I get home from work, but a week ago after I drained it I put it on the charger and it started just flashing red. Then it went trhough the red/yellow/green phased like turning it on/off for a couple minutes. I took it off and it smelled burned and I thought it was toast, thinking if I wanted to buy another one or not so I was shopping on the web.

Thought I would try charging it again the next day and it started charging but the light was pulsing, I kept an eye on it and it eventually went to green and I tried it out, worked normal without any burned smell. Now (week later) the light still pulses when charging and the green light never goes off like it used to do to let me know it was fully charged (and it charged a solikd 12 hrs) so I'm gonna see if I get around the same amount of puffs I used to get when it charged regularly.

Oops! I dropped mine in some water too. Any provanati here? I'd like a black or silver one. Seriously, it's geally great to see fellow vapers step up to help. It's a great community

Actually, it had less to do with the dunking and more to do with refusing to lie about it to get it replaced by the vendor for free (kind of a long story). One person thought a Provari would be a nice thing to do for me and others helped out. Despite a lot of folks dissing the Provari people, they are a terrific bunch of folks and I am happy to know them.

Your problems with charging could just be a bad micro USB cable. I have a similar problem with one of mine. It The button keeps flashing in the plugin pattern. It charges very slowly. I have to flex it just so for it to work. I really need to toss that cable but I wan't to buy a replacement first. Luckily, I have other cables at other vaping locations so I can keep it charged. I use the same cables to top off/charge my tablets at my prefered loafing locations. I just like to use the MVP as a pass through when I can. It should keep the battery lasting longer. Same as with tablets and phones.
So, your problem might just be the micro usb cable. A very easy fix.

I want the pink and white Provari. The one I just bought from a guy here in the classifieds I kinda got ****** on :( It worked for one day for me and then just kind of died! I was so much in love with it too! It's not the batteries either because those are brand new...So I don't know if it got damaged in shipping or what? I am so sad I own one that doesn't work I so so sad!

Jordan, from what I understand the Provape folks are wonderful about fixing broken ones very inexpensively. Go to their forum and say what is happening and some Provarinati might be able to help. If not contact their customer service--they are very helpful from what I've seen.

ProVape

On a different topic...I want a pink one too, LOL!:)

I had an itaste vv drop in the tub for about a second, scooped it up, put it in the sacrificial bowl of rice for a week, then tried to charge it. I watched it like a hawk and it became very, VERY warm. I trashed it and bought a couple of new ones to replace it. For the price, it's not worth taking a risk on. Granted, it's cheaper than the MVP but the MVP still isn't that expensive. Safety and peace of mind override price. Good luck with it. Just be careful.

My opinion here so take it for what's been paid for it.

After somehow getting your device wet, don't turn it on as that'll almost surely make it toast. Drain what you can out of it and then immerse it in alcohol, the higher the percentage the better. The alcohol will absorb the water in the liquid.

And most likely kill any oLED display in the process. Getting it wet by accident involves prayer. Getting an oLED display wet on purpose usually spells death.

Not that anyone is THREAD HIJACKING here but did you take this to the ProVape supplier forum to get assistance from the Provarinutti? I can think of at least three things you should be trying before declaring it dead.

ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buttons are a bit sticky and I had to fish rice out off all the open ports but lcd works like new
ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!

tip...if you use rice as a desiccant maybe try a thin mesh bag around the mvp... you want the ports exposed to dry internals but that's about it.
and don't forget to wrap the whole thing in plastic to ensure a dry environment...in retrospect I should have put the whole thing in my tiny guest bathroom with my portable industrial dehumidifier on "Sahara" setting. but hey...i was a mess as it was.
this result is 26 hours in rice.....i checked the unit throughout the day yesterday...just looked at it and was terrified because for the first 18 hours the lcd display kept cycling its functions without buttons being pushed but so far so good.
if it doesn't charge well (im going to discharge it fully before recharging...ill post an update.

but did i mention....ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for watching,

Wonderful update. Now we need you to try this with all sorts of liquids so we know what to expect just in case it falls into any of them. Thanks! We'll be on standby :p

i deserve that LOL, as i think i got off very lightly...and as the saying goes:

Don't YOU try that at home, KIDS...im a professional (klutz!)

I'm thinking of developing a home "vape" detector...so i don't fall asleep again with it "lit"

RE:
. $59.45 E-LVT Variable Voltage/Wattage APV Mod - 3-6V / 3-15W / power bank / LED flashlight / water resistant / anti-shock at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

despite the good intentions of this suggestion a search on this product on ECF raised enough questions that I didn't pull the trigger. buy with caution if panicking
