I am still in the process of quitting but I have noticed some habits are beginning to change.
*No more analogs first thing in the morning with coffee.
*I am not panicing about how many packs I have left or if I even brought a pack with me when I leave the house.
* Spending a lot less on air fresheners.
*No more getting out of bed to go in the kitchen for a smoke.
*No more "one last smoke" before bed.
*More water and less coffee.
*I love the whole mad scientist thing with all the dropper bottles and favors. Much more fun then scrubbing ashtrays.
*I am spending more time outside and less chained to my ashtry.
*It's so nice to vape a puff or two and walk away instead of feeling obligated to finish a whole analog.
*Now if I could just quit trolling all the sites for more E-stuff!

I am looking forward to the last analog!! The need is fading fast!
Thanks for the support and advice. Mary

im down to only 3 analogs per day (down from 25-30/day for 31 years)...however, i got down to this within the first 24 hours i began vaping which was 2 weeks ago and i havent been able to completely stop yet...i look forward to those 3 everyday as if its nirvana for me or something...its as if i enjoy it too much to completely let it go. I need to stop completely but not sure yet how to do it...im now trying new liquid (from TW) which is alot stronger in flavor than my previous stuff (from PS) so im hoping this will make it easier to completely stay away from analogs.

I too have gotten rid of my ashtray, and i think the 1 thing that im happy about most right now is that im rid of the smell. The house, my hands, clothing, etc. no longer stink like the old ashtray...which for me is a great thing since im somewhat of a clean freak.

Instead of rushing to the store for cigarettes late at night I now rush to the mailbox several times each morning looking for jucie. I don't have to be constantly looking for a lighter anymore or taking time out for a smoke break during the work day. Instead I'm blessed by checking the boards for "new info." from my computer. I don't have to worry about the tobacco smell and like Hangar said I just feel more clean. Also I do feel more healthy.

I was very similar to you. When I got my 901, I went from 25-30 a day to 8. Over a 6 weeks I reduced that to 2 a day. There are three things that made the difference for me. The most important was when I got my screwdriver. Being able to get a fairly consistent throat hit due to the big battery and the manual switch that allowed me to heat up the atomizer made a big difference. Next was having enough juice on hand that I Knew I wouldn't run out in a week. And last, wanting to quit. And also switching from 16mg to 24mg strength. I've been analog free now for 12 days.

I still want an analog in the morning with coffee and after a meal, but it is managible.

Hangar I'm just the same way... It's been 3 weeks & I smoke about 3 or 4 analogs a day, after smoking a pack a day for 27 years. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I'm well on my way. I don't have that cig first thing in the morning anymore. I only have the analogs once I'm home from work. I deffinaty can breath much better. Mywife said that I've actually stoped weezing when I sleep. My nose seems to work better too.

its funny...but last weekend the wife and I were out shopping and while we were up and down the aisles in the store, for the first time EVER, i actually SMELLED a smoker walk past me, hahahaha!

I called out to my wife ( a hell bent non-smoker) all excited about what had just happened, and I asked her if thats the way i used to stink?...my reply was just one of those looks that said "ah, see what ive been complaining about all these years?"

hahaha....ME TOO!! My fiance and I had the same type of epiphany. We still smoke an analog (or 2) in the garage (attached) every night. Two nights ago, after puffing in the garage, we were watching TV and she looks at me and says "I can smell cigarette smoke" then proceeded to sniff the sleeve of her shirt...whew...I cant believe I used to walk around stinking like that. I think I am going to steam-clean all my furniture since the smell from my clothes has surely leeched into the upholstery.

As for changed habits:
-dont need to roll down the window in my truck when I'm driving (actually get to hear the radio more)
- not missing the action when watchin sports on TV...is it just me or does someone hit a home run or score a touchdown almost every time you leave the room for an analog?!!
- We kiss more since neither of us has smokers breath :hubba:
- Every morning that I stop to buy my morning coffee, I think to myself "I just saved another $8.35 by not buying smokes today!" :w00t:
- and the BIGGEST new habit....Checking the mail-box everyday to see what orders have arrived

I also smelled a smoker today..and I am still smoking about 4 analogs a day (down from 40 a day). My poor G'kids had to put up with that smell?
I loved breezing past the cigarette line and going thru the 10 items or less. Normaly I would have a couple of cartons and need to write a check. Analogs are near $40.00 a carton and climbing so I try to think of how many e-flavors I could buy with that!
I feel that changing habits and routines will help with the quitting process. Get out of my comfort zone. I sent back the kr808's because they were not working and because they look like an analog. Which is what I thought I wanted. I want to stop the menthol because it tastes like my old analogs. My blue 901 doesn't feel like an analog or taste like one. It sure as heck doesn't smell like one!
My biggest problem is that my hubby is only using his e-cig once in a while, Mom won't even try one (she's smoked for 70 years). So I am still surrounded by smokers.
The thing that keeps me going is buying myself some nice..really nice perfume after I quit so I can enjoy it too! (without bathing in it)

The biggest thing for me is that I can vape like I drink. My e-cig is there, always ready, and I can take a "sip" every now and then instead of scheduling an excursion to go out and OD on cigarette smoke. It's much less intrusive and I find that it makes me more relaxed because there's one less thing to plan ahead for.

Of course sometimes I'll go out and vape like crazy just for the fun of it (sorry, puritans, I enjoy this stuff), but I'm doing it because I fancy a break and not because I'm craving a nicotine hit.

It's a little extra bit of freedom.

Where I live, cigarettes cost $11 A PACK (20 cigs). True story.

.........

I bought a Twix yesterday. Absent mindedly opened it a few hours later, took a bite and was shocked...I went to double check the wrapper to see if it was a special double-chocolate version or perhaps a dark chocolate Twix. Nope. Just a normal Twix, only I could actually taste it for the first time in about 15 years. It was bloomin' delicious.

I've been smoking e cigarettes for two days straight and I've developed a new habit - breathing! lol. I have asthma (a major motivation for quitting - it started after smoking for years). I haven't had any asthma symptoms for two days. However, I'm bummed because I broke my battery inside my charger and my other battery just died - have to wait for the new one to arrive :( I guess I need to stock up on accessories and buy another penstyle.

I have absolutely NO desire for analogs anymore whatsoever, They Are friggin nasty to me now! I will never go back. Its great not to have that panic feeling of being without a pack. No more lighter, dirty ashes, or stinky butts laying around, Being able to just have a short vape always accessable is liberating! Plus I'm smoking much less now.
