Who is still smoking that analog in the morning and can't break the habit (me for 1)

As of tomorrow I will have been vaping my Joye-510 for 4 weeks and not having an analog. The mornings are a little rough, but I just vape a little more frequently than I do the rest of the day.

I repeat over and over in my head "I do not need the analog, the vape is just a strong and better for me" and usually in about 1/2 hour the urge is completely gone. I also get a momentary urge to smoke an analog right after a satisfying meal....but again just repeat my montra and I am fine after that.

Currently I am on the 24 mg strength, and at the 6 week mark going to cut down to the 16 mg strength. Then cut that down, finally vaping only the 0mg stuff.

Just hang with it, you will finally get over the analog craving.

about how many puffs off a 510 does it take to get 1mg of nic? That is if your using 24mg juice?
Until we know exactly how much nicotine is transmitted to the vapor, and exactly what percentage of that nicotine is absorbed as opposed to be exhaled, no one can answer that question.

Progress is being made on determining how much nicotine is transmitted to the vapor, although there still remains a fair amount of disagreement even on that point. But I don't think anyone can say with any degree of confidence what percentage is absorbed.

And then, of course, it is going to depend on how big a puff you take and how long your hold it.

I have only been vaping for a couple of weeks now, but I also have a problem with "needing" an analog every now and then.

Some days, I can get through the whole day solely on vaping. Then again, on other days, like when I have classes and take my medication Adderall (which REALLY gives me cravings to smoke an analog) or nights I'm drinking, It's nearly impossible for me not to light up a smoke.

I read some of the suggestions here, and I can definitely see how they might help. But especially when I take my meds (which I have to for school, so NOT taking them really isn't an option), no matter what I do or say to myself, nothing seems to work and I will always end up lighting up a cig. Granted, even on my "bad" days I usually only end up smoking 1 or 2 smokes.

Any suggestions?

Hey,

so I can get through most of the day with just vaping and not smoking. I used to be a 1.5 - 2 pack a day smoker. I'm down to about 5-7 analogs a day, and they are mostly habitual.

I'm not really enjoying the analogs, and sometimes i don't even finish them, but the habit is there, and in the morning i have tried and tried again to just vape instead of smoke, but I always go to the morning analog, and i must admit, nothing can replace that as of this moment in time. I think in the future, i'll be able to cut down on the analog to work, analog after dinner and analog before bed. That is 4 analogs down from 2 packs, but mind you - i'm vaping all day at 36mg, i take about 10-12 big tokes every 45 minutes at my desk at work and i've seriously been able to stop the analogs. My only issue is i think my daily intake is higher than normaly. A normal analog containts 8mg of nicotine in each cancer stick, after burning, decomposition due to heat, evaporation due to heat, and ash, we only end up with 1mg-2mg of nicotine per analog, so 36mg x 12 draws is extremely high in terms of nicotine. I should probably lower my intake and see if i get any withdrawal symptoms, but i wont do that yet because i like the fact that i don't "need" a real cigarette at this point, i will stay like this until I lower the nic level and then see how i feel then.

I'm derailing from the point, so are there still people out there that find that analogs cannot be replaced in the morning, during coffee, after dinner and before bed? and if you did break these few last habitual smokes, what did you do to help, because i try to vape in the morning right when i wake, but honestly, all it does is make me crave an analog even more because if feels like i'm just getting a tease when compared to smoking an analog.

What do you guys think ?
Surprised to read that you can't drop that ash stick. Well give it time, I have smoked for over 60 years, started on these wonderful steam engines, and haven't looked back. For the most part the smell from the analogs seems to be much stinkier, then I ever imagined. I can smell the front of Wal Mart before I get within 20 feet of the entrance. How did people stand me. Had no problem putting that stick out of my morning routine, enjoy vaping instead.
Good luck, you will be saying the same.
