alright guys, ive been searching and searching and all i get is more confused:confused: some people say aw imr batterys and others say protected. I have a knight rider and have a omega on the way so what im thinking is keep the same batterys that i use in my knight rider and keep everthing simple and pick up a few more for the omega. are these batterys safe to be using in my omega? these batterys are the ones released in canada and most people who have the knight rider know the ones that im talking about. also will the flat top even work in an omega?

It depends on your vaping habits too. I personally went for the bigger mAh AW 3100 simply because when you have that many mAhs you're not too worried about discharge rate :)

They come off the charger at 4.18V in the morning and when I slap them back on the charger at night they're hovering around 3.7V.

Although I've never used anything but the aw's in my mods I've also been told the same advice as vpur - aw's are the best batteries all around. The advice and reviews I've heard is aw's are built with better internals which make them safer, give a stronger vape from your mod and last longer. This advice comes from seasoned mod veterans, not newbies.

I have some 18650's and some 14500's bought last year and charged countless times. Only my very first 18650 is showing signs of wanting to retire. It doesn't hold the charge for as long as it did. But all my other batteries are still workhorses.

thats good info, so im gonna keep the imr that came with the lava tube and pick up a few more. so will the flat tops imr 18650 work with the omega? just wondering will the pin come down far enough to touch the battery without the button stuck up on the battery. i dont think the ones that came with the lt were actual aw brand

BTW regular AW 18650 do not fir in the LT. It functions but the batt is too long even the flat top. So you will be fine with the IMRs - which will fit your LT, because the batts it comes with are junk.

I am still using the batts that came with my LT (Back in November) and seem to be working fine. Why are they Junk?

there not really junk, they just can't really compare to AW IMR batts, honestly there is maybe only 4 li-ion battery manufacturers in the world, everyone pretty much gets the same batts cells from the same manufacturers, AW is just a distributor, they don't manufacture anything themselves. What makes AW batts so good is that they QC the cells and only pick the top tier ones from there batches of cells and label these as AW batts, rest go in some discount bin and to some other distributor probably under a different brand.

Cheers and happy vaping
