You'd definitely need to fire the mechanical switch to get any power to it...
I know Dave at Super-t is talking about as a future project but no clue how he's going to implement it.
Personally... I think a WAY better idea would be to create a fixed 4.8 volt boost module (same form factor as the Kick) that could do 8 amps.
That would grab every mech user out there... 4.8v... 0.6 ohms... 8 amps... 38.4 watts...
That's enough overkill to satisfy even the most hard core ULR users.
