I used to read every night for an hour or two before bed, in bed. No smoking in the house so I never smoked while reading. I ended up having to quit because about 6 months ago it got to the point where I couldn't read more than two pages before passing out. Was later dx with severe thyroid disease, and I still haven't been able to read much before conking out, even with medication.
I'm into horror/fantasy/sci-fi - got into Dan Simmons (Hyperion anyone?), Brian Lumley (Necroscope series!), Clive Barker, of course Steven King and Dean Koontz, and then for a change picked up
three by Ayn Rand -The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged, and We the Living (why are so many so blind?), then got really into action/adventure books by Clive Cussler.
My dresser has 4 drawers filled with books, and I have a 4'x4' bookcase also filled.
I miss being able to read...
