What are your other vices/addictions?

It's almost implied that we all have some degree of a nicotine dependence, whether we're working to kick it or not. What else has its grips on you?

Personally... Coffee. Well, caffeine in general. Just now I made myself a cup of coffee... Except that I forgot to put in the stupid little K-cup first... So I made myself a cup of hot water and then proceeded to add creamer to it. Sighhhhh.

Well... I am one year clean from other stuff. For four years I was addicted to (bad stuff). So I have a lot of experience with addiction. It's my addictive personality that really gets me. I can get addicted to almost anything. Right now I'm pretty addicted to monster energy drinks (as bad as they are for me) and now I vent all my old addiction into tinkering with mods and such. :)

A few centuries ago I was into the hippie lifestyle. About the only thing left was the cigs-- and naturally, once all my addictions collapsed into one, it was the most difficult to overcome. My religion requires moderate coffee use (another story). I don't drink pop. Fluid intake is a real problem, have recently started using those squirt flavor additives for water, since a pharmacist warned me off of Gatorade.

I am on my computer for much more time than I should, and have become rather reclusive because I have had difficulties getting my hearing aids retuned fast enough for progressive hearing loss. I also gave up crafts because my right thumb complains a lot when I use it too much. Recently got a cortisone shot, and it is much better, and got new hearing aids (fuschia!). Obamacare ROCKS! So reducing computertime and getting out and about more are priorities.

I too used to be into harder drugs. In fact when I first started vaping, I had some difficulty with craving other things because, to me, I feel that a vape hit feels more like a hit of crystal than a drag off a cigarette. But I held strong through that and have been clean for 3 1/2 years (October 17th will be the four year mark).

And we can count girlfriends as a vice??? Well damn. Add that one down too.

Honestly the girl I'm with, I never wanted something serious with. But she lured me in. After my last relationship ended (and almost took my life with it, ex was a psychopath who tried to kill me over the girl she thought I was going to leave her for... Who has been her girlfriend since literally the day after I broke up with her...) I really didn't want to get attached to anyone else. But I guess that's how these things work.

Unfortunately I can agree with this, especially with unflavored juice (what I cape 99% of the time)...although that portion of my life is behind me I still struggle with that similarity sometimes.

glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Yeah, drug dependence sucks but I just celebrated 3 years clean in may! Congrats to every one else too. In addition to the constant pursuet of the perfect vape (currently the Panzer topped with a dual parallel coiled origin v2) I am a super avid reader and an addicted longboarder. I recently started diy-ing those too. Strange, the outlets we find some times.

DIY longboard sounds awesome. I took a skateboarding class for PE in high school, and found that the long board was my comfort zone. Lol. I want to get back into it, my gf wants to get me back into it, but I'm terribly concerned that I'll make a fool of myself lol.

other tasty, salty, terrible stuff! Good thing I'm naturally calm and relaxed. If I was a tense person, that salt would kill me...
My blood pressure has stabilized around normal since quitting smoking. I stay away from salt anyway because it triggers dizziness. Audiologist tells me that recent research indicates that whatever affects the heart also affects the ears.
