A friend who won't give up the stinkies because he's sceptical about e-cigs always needles me about vaping. The latest thing he asked was 'Did you see the news reports about the e-cig that blew up in a man's face?'. Arrrgh.

People who ask if the e-cig is really helping me quit. I don't consider it a quit... it was a switch. I switched because I wanted the general act of smoking and the nicotine but wanted the health benefits as well. It's not something I'm planning to do for a month or two and stop. It's not the patch

Yeah, some of us vape as an alternative to smoking

How about when you see the opening titles of web-based shows about vaping ... and you see the presenters vaping and acting like they're (edited)? ANNOYING.

I MEAN REALLY ANNOYING.

Being ill-prepared when doing the review and fumbling around with the equipment!

Great thread! I got some big grins from the one about personal vaporizers and condom refills. (And I can't even imagine what someone listening would make of advanced pv's.

Mine: The folks who say, "You're still smoking when you use that thing." Grrrrrrr.

Don't get me started!! This could become a very long thread.

You guys might hate me for this, but my pet peeve is "oh it's only water vapor". Well I hate to tell you this, but it is NOT just water vapor, and we loose creditability when we say that it is. That is vaporized PG & VG that you see floating around in the air.

Another is "I can vape anywhere I want", like we have the right to be an annoyance to others just because we don't smoke.

Almost forgot: "one cartridge is equal to a pack of cigarettes, and lasts all day"

Me: *vape* You don't say? So eating tomatoes, eggplant, and potatoes will also give me cancer? Because, you know, *vape*, those McDonald's fries you love so much are probably going to give you cancer anyway.

Smokers who feel their love for analogs is stronger and more passionate then those who have quit using Ecigs or anyone else for that matter. For example When you tell a friend/smoker they should give vaping a chance and their answer is "It wont work because I REALLY like smoking" or "Nah, it wont work for me because I really like the way cigarettes taste"..... Like they have some sort of deeper relationship with their cigarettes then any one else did or does!!!

Also, when an uneducated smoker/non-smoker who's read 1 article tries to teach me about all the bad chemicals Ecigs contain. Like they've done more research then I have...!

When people ask me "when are you going to REALLY quit" WTF I did over a year ago!
Narrow minded country hicks whisper "look she's doing DRUGS" (stupid in laws)
And when DH sneaks off with my Mini and I find him 2 hours later sleeping on top of it


Oh and my 74 year old neighbor who has told me EVERY WEEK the last two years that this is her last carton of cigs......When I offer a look a like kit she wrinkles her nose and lifts her upper lip and says "Ewe no, I won't touch those" then proceeds to blow smoke in my direction and still tries to walk into my house with her lit cig.......

How about vaping videos that half of the total run time is BLARING noise and graphic at beginning and end, but a quiet soft talking person inbetween?

That gets my goat everytime and I'm getting tired of running after that goat.

People that recommend their pet mod no matter what the OP says they want up to and including a good stater kit. Lately it's Provaris. It used to be Reos. It makes me feel like pod people have taken over the forum.

People that use a PV that looks like a cigarette in public.

After being asked by a curious stranger about my PV and explaining what it is and how it works and how it's my replacement for smoking having them ask, "So, when are you going to quit smoking?"

It's a weird pet-peeve (and my only vaping related one) but I find it extremely disturbing when a fellow vaper tries a sample of one of the eliquids I'm using and starts smacking their lips repetitively as if they are at a wine and cheese tasting event. There's nothing really wrong with it i guess, it just....I dunno, makes me cringe.

Mine is people who are stubborn to the point of ridiculosity when the option of vaping is presented to them.

The other night I was at George's in Unionville, CT (great food, great bar if you're ever in the area), and while I was waiting for my take-out lasagna dinner, I saw the usual assortment of wretches huddled outside the door, sucking on their stinkies. Student of human psychology and Good Samaritan that I am, I thought "what the heck", and, Woo-powered EMDCC in hand, approached a late-50's-ish-looking couple whose faces bore the scars of many years of smoking. "Excuse me", I said, "but have you heard of the terrific advances in the field of electronic cigarettes, and what a wonderful alternative they are to smoking cigarettes"? The lady says to me "Oh, someone told me those were bad for you".



God help us all.

Guilty constantly....

"Does that really work?"
"Does it taste like a cigarette?"
"But it doesn't really have nicotine in it does it, so it's not like smoking at all right?"
"Is it helping you quit?"
"Oh, I thought you were vaporizing [insert drug name here]. I guess I don't really want to try it."

Biggest annoyance by far, always waiting at least 3-5 business days to get an order in.
