Just wanted to chime in and suggest that maybe we should all do what we can to refrain from calling out any particular ECF member or members who do things we don't like. I did it earlier in this thread, and I think Bronze was right about it; I regretted, and regret, doing it, because it seems to me to be a violation of "the Golden Rule". I say that because I didn't like it when it was done to me.

I've vaped in the movies, if I can sit in the back with nobody near me and not produce any visible vapor. I wouldn't want anyone blowing plumes in front of me. I still see your posts because I'm an adult who doesn't need everybody to agree with me.

That's awesome. Honestly, though, part of it is that my girlfriend works in film/tv, and I've worked on a couple things for the heck of it. It's almost as much out of respect for the art as other people's enjoyment of it. It's kind of like how I wouldn't have a problem vaping in a house club but would never touch a PV during an Opera……just the right decorum for the event.

Pet peeve of today is the crumudgeny old lady behind me this morning who did the fake cough when the tiniest bit of my vapor got near her. I was tempted to hold my nose and ask her how much perfume she put in her bath this morning.

Yeah. Now that I can smell things (more so……still have bad allergies) things like that are really pissing me off. And some people don't get that no amount of cologne/perfume will cover up the stink of marlboros. I hated that smell even when I was smoking.

I never looked at it like that I guess. I wouldn't vape at a play, a dance recital, at the orchestra where live people are performing out of respect. The movies I see differently because the performance is just being played back. If I'll eat popcorn and candy, and drink, why not vape I guess. *shrug*

Pet peeve of the day, buying a drip tip and finding out it's WAAAAAY bigger or smaller than you thought it was going to be.

Crap, Eric ... yeah, sorry man .... I figured if I trashed you in this obscure little thread, it would never get back to you. Now I feel really bad. To teach myself a lesson, I'm going to go without vaping for the next eight hours .... which fortunately for me, coincides exactly with how long I plan on sleeping as soon as I finish typing this.

Recurring pet peeve: In the last 48 hours, I've talked to at least four smokers who have said that they are not even willing to try vaping, and instead will "quit smoking when they're ready to". People just all too often don't realize that they don't have to "quit smoking"; they just have to start vaping, with proper gear and some flavors that they like. It's sad, really.

Hello Jin_888, Good to see you back!! its been a looong time, how have you been doing?

Hi meli, thanks to you and others for keeping this thread alive. I've just spent most of the week catching up with it. Feel like quoting Dr. Frankenstein "I've created a monster"! :D

No new vaping pet hates at the moment. Seem to have reached a satisfactory plateau with simple rebuildable Stardust type cartomizers, ego batteries and Vermillion River Kentucky blends. Funny, when I think back to when I started out less than 2 years ago, and the amount of effort it took to search out and try different things in order to get to this point! Great that we have so many different vaping options available now, and that it is becoming more normalised.

But reading through the thread from where I left off (about page 90!) I realise that it could have a use beyond just minor venting. If suppliers or manufacturers ever read these pages, it's a good way to see how to improve services or products through some of our gripes!

Actually, my next pet hate will be when we are all disproportionately taxed by governments after cigarette companies realise that cigs are on the way out and vaping is the future. On the plus side, maybe if companies like Phillip Morris start making e-liquid, at least you'll be able to get a juice that actually tastes like Marlboro!

Hi meli, thanks to you and others for keeping this thread alive.

LOL!! @ thanking that troublemaker for "keeping this thread alive." !!! She's almost single-handedly gotten it shut down about three times now!! (I say "almost" because I technically started the trouble each time, but I reject that reality and substitute my own).

(And OOPSIE, this post is actually off-topic, isn't it .......... oh well, whaddyagonnado)

Haha thanks to all the trouble-makers too! You are more rascally than malicous I think. Mods please spare them!

LOL .... Yep, there are a few wascally wabbits in here for sure, and at least one "old goat"/wabbit cross, but I think that all of our intentions are good ... after all, in the end, isn't it all about doing our best to see that all of our fellow earthlings - regardless of leg count - have the best time possible on this little circumstellar joyride called life? .... whether it's a bumper crop of fresh carrots, a little scritchle behind the ears, a kind word, a cozy burrow, or a nice yummy vape .....

Thanks for starting this amazing thread, and I look forward to talking to you ... there's something in those eyes, and your words, that makes me think very strongly that you share my goals for the world ..... peace, forgiveness, and kindness ...... speaking of which ..... "yeah mods, please spare us".

My theme song of late -

Joe Cocker - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood HD - YouTube

"Peace out", as the kids say, and "vape on", as I like to say. :vapor:

That honestly doesn't bother me. You have to recall being a smoker, people were ALWAYS telling me how bad it was for me, they thought they were enlightening me with some useful piece of information I did not have. As I have always stated, I like smoking, I never intended to quit smoking even when I came to this site. I was simply looking for cost reduction.

Now a few friends of mine tried to turn me on to e-cigs earlier, and well I'll be honest, I simply dismissed them. Why? I wasn't ready why should I change? You found a reason to change that's great, you are not them. When Ohio implemented a .75 cent tax because it's "Bad for you" is when I decided something has to change, now i'm spending $250 bucks a week on smokes. Tried smokes from Russia and a few other places didn't like the taste.

Now I recalled my friends who tried to get me to try e-cigs, quickly dismissed the ones who kept pushing me to try it and went to a friend who never really pushed it at all and asked him a ton of questions. Bought my first ecig that day, and although that particular one didn't turn out to be the one for me, it did give me enough to say hey i can do this and I wanted to do it.

My biggest peeve is people who simply don't realize, that telling people they should do this or that are NO BETTER then those who constantly barrage the smoker. I cannot say how much I hated people telling me I need to quit, my response was nope. Don't want to. And i turned off my ears pretty much from anything else they had to say.

Vapping and smoking are NOT the same, it is as I always tell the person questioning me, in my experience, if you choose to vape, realize it's not same same, but it's not that much different then changing brands of cigarettes. At least from a smoking perspective. That was my first thought on the very first hit I took from my vaporizer.

Anyway sorry for the rant but I see this oh they won't try it and it just irritates me from my former smoking years.

You don't care about your health? And I do have some useful information that many smokers don't have - that vaping is almost universally regarded as being more enjoyable than smoking cigarettes, and is considerably less harmful.

Now a few friends of mine tried to turn me on to e-cigs earlier, and well I'll be honest, I simply dismissed them. Why? I wasn't ready why should I change? "Bad for you", in quotes??

Now I recalled my friends who tried to get me to try e-cigs, quickly dismissed the ones who kept pushing me to try it and went to a friend who never really pushed it at all and asked him a ton of questions. I will never, ever stop telling people that there is now an arguably superior alternative to smoking killer ciggies, until any particular individual asks me to stop. Encouraging people to start vaping is vastly different than just telling someone to stop smoking, without offering a realistic alternative like vaping.

Vaping and smoking are NOT the same, it is as I always tell the person questioning me, in my experience, if you choose to vape, realize it's not same same, but it's not that much different then changing brands of cigarettes. At least from a smoking perspective. That was my first thought on the very first hit I took from my vaporizer.

I agree that there are vast differences between cigarette smoking and vaping. One is extremely harmful and smelly, the other isn't.

Anyway sorry for the rant but I see this oh they won't try it and it just irritates me from my former smoking years.

As I've said before, I don't see many rational reasons for not at least trying vaping, since I firmly believe that the vast majority of people who give it a proper try with proper equipment and juice will find that it's more enjoyable than smoking.

Why, why why is it that no matter the bottle, be it plastic or glass, round neck or flat, e-liquid has an infuriating yet almost magical property of Always clinging onto to those last few ml's?

I feel the exact same with with my CE3 clearos. This drop right here never seems to want to leave the silicone end cap:

Sitting down, facing forward.
When I have a battery sitting on my desk, charging. Then I put down the battery I'm vaping on the same desk near the charging battery. Then, I casually reach down and take a drag off the battery that is charging. Never seem to ge any vapor and the threads can be hard on the lips.
