I have quit smoking analogs before cold turkey, long before I discovered vaping. I have made it up to a month before. I've experinced the sudden burst in my energy, that second or third day 'holy crap thats what stuff smells like again!' feeling, etc.

I was just wondering, should I expect to see the same benifits of quitting when I start to vape, or does vaping supress some of those benifits? Can you give me a rough time scale of your experince when you first switched from analog to vapor?

You get all the bennys. For me I tasted food better, and decided I hate certain foods now.
I also lost 20 lbs because I could do more. I stopped coughing and I sleep perfectly through the night.

There are some relationship enhancements as well, such as drive and desire as well as performance.

The best thing is now you will live. That was my main motivation, I was not ready to die just yet.

The biggest benefit, which seems to accrue to the vast majority of vapers, is this: you don't want to smoke cigarettes...And I don't mean you don't smoke cigarettes. I mean you don't want to smoke cigarettes.

Quitting timeframe for me: overnight.

Quitting timeframe for my 65 year old mum who smoked 30 a day for 45 years: overnight.

It is pretty astonishing.

From the time I took my first puff on the e-cig, I never went back to regular cigs. I smoked 2 packs a day for 40+ years. I tried 1 analog cig after 2 weeks. Took 1 puff, and threw it out the car window. It tasted disgusting. I feel great, no more shortness of breath, have more energy, and 100 other good things.

So is it safe to say that the only thing I will retain will be a craving for nicotine?

What about the overwhelming hunger to eat brains? Or is that not realted to the smoking? (j/k)

Is it also therefore safe to say that all of the negative effects of smoking short term are caused by the cumbustion of tobacco, and that nicotine alone is not responsible for ANY of them?

I think the hardest habit for me to break is going to be ashing. If I don't get a lot of responses here I might make a thread about this. I feel like out of habit I'm still going to try to ash my vaporizer, lol. As an analog smoker I'm what my friends call an obsessive asher, I never let ash build up on my cig and ash like two or three times between puffs, I knock the cherry off of at least five cigarettes per pack.

haha.. my boyfriend tried to ash his e-cig the other day.. we've both only had them a short while. I laughed at him, and he told me to shut up. =/

So far in a week and a half, I've noticed I can smell and taste better, and I can tell when someone near me has an analog.

I put my analogs down for good once my first battery had it's full charge, and I haven't gone back yet, and don't want to!

Yeah how long is that going to take by the way? They don't precharge them if I understand correctly so I'll still have to wait a few hours before I can start using mine right? Man thats going to be hard, having it right there and not able to use it. I have analogs but still, I wanna play with my new toy.

I think these things are bad for you, thay make you want to quit smoking, they improve your breathing, makes things taste better, they make you healthier, and you don't stink anymore. I agree with the government, I think they should be banned. we can't have healthy people running around and our friends in the governments, pharmaceutical and tobacco industry losing money. And we can't forget if everyone stops smoking what about all those anti-smoking organizations that would have no jobs. Now we're talking an impact on or economy. So you see, we need to ban these things.:D

well with regards to battery charge, my tecc titan 510 arrived this morning, and I put one battery on charge, used the other for a couple of hours but not excessively, it worked fine.. now the first one is back on charge and the automatic one is fully charged. good stuff.

the 12 hours thing seems like nonsense - the light goes green to indicate full charge after a couple hours here.
