I am definitely interested in upgrading to the P3 when it comes out (but only once a polished stainless version is released:) and I was curious to know what you guys think a flawless satin black mini V2.5 could be sold for? When I say flawless I mean just that...not a mark or scratch anywhere on the device...it never leaves my house!

People on other forums here are suggesting the V2.5 will have little value and that I'll have to take a huge loss but I'm not buying that at all. Personally I think the LCD display setup on the V2.5 looks superior to the new display of the P3...mine is blue and I just love how "electric" it looks compared to the dull look of the P3 display...but that's just my opinion.

Anyways, thoughts?

Thanks!

Your best answer will come from the closed sales thread area, use the search tab and search keyword ProVari, then simply review a few that sold and analyze what you see, several show a PM and then a sale, so one can deduce that the actual sell price was lower than asked. Personally I won't pay more than 100-130 for a used unit, and 130 would include some enticing extras, like a mini with four AW 18350 batteries and an extension cap. Selling a unit without an extender cap, especial a colored one limits it's appeal to some buyers.

Another factor that greatly influence current price point would be if a flood of people list similar products at the same time, and if Provape has a sale on Blem units going on. Its really a no brainer for someone looking to grab a blem with warranty vs used at similar or higher asking price.
A lot of things going on to try to crystal ball what Provari V1-V2.5 will be selling for used once the P3 hits the streets, I'm keeping my P1 P2 and P2.5's :)

Chinese companies can and do produce some of the finest products of our time, for customers who spec. the quality that they demand. They also produce bottom end sell it cheap products for companies that value profit over quality. Don't blame the Chinese, blame the greedy business owners who demand bottom basement priced goods to dump into the marketplace.

Too many variables..

Though a black & blue Mini in excellent condition should probably do fine in the secondary market (via appropriate channels, of course ;)).. Pretty popular combo that's well-received & appeals to many..

Also depends on what kind of price-point the P3 debuts at, and how long it stays there.. And at the same time, does the V2.5 get a price chop? If so, by how much, and when?

People like their V2.5's.. Mine aren't going anywhere.. Seems that many feel the same way..

At this point we know what the P3 is all about.. There's enough of a difference between the 2 models & enough positive attributes of the V2.5 which the P3 *doesn't* have, that I think will help prevent a mass dumping of V2.5's..

Not to say that there won't be more of them up for sale, otherwise, than had the P3 *not* shown up.. But I don't think it is or will be as bad as some claim -- perhaps some of those saying so are already ProVari-bashers in the 1st place.. :)

I believe there are a bunch of folks, like me, who probably feel that the V2 and V2.5's are more up their alley. Nothing wrong with that either, it's a darn good device.

As to the price thing, I don't foresee a huge drop on the horizon, there is a point at which most folks would rather just keep the device, than let it go for too little.

I'm not selling ANY of my ProVaris...they've each become "friends" to me...and have seen me thru some horrible "nic-fits"...

Way back, three years ago...I was spending approx $25 every 2.5-3 days for my stinkies...So, quick math: $100 per week/$5200 a year +/- NOW that I'm vaping: 100 ml juice plus coils for my tanks=+/- $1200 a year = $4,000 NET SAVINGS!!!

My DH and I exist (almost) on our social security, which is paid once per month, so it is easy to control spending...I buy my juice and coils and any replacement gear on payday. I "allow" myself to spend a set amount every year near my "Vaperversary"...I'm on my THIRD now, so my choice was the Ti.

I understand broke...I'm over 60 and my DH is over 70, and we've seen tough times...(when I was 20, cigarettes were 28 CENTS and my wedding ring was in the pawn shop more than it was on my finger!)..but, you know, before I quit smoking...no matter HOW broke I was, I always had cigarettes! Now that I save so much more by vaping, rather than smoking, I use the "extra" cash for less important things...like food...doctor bills and prescriptions to ease the effects of COPD!

I've discovered that if you TRULY want something, you will find a way to get it....maybe not immediately...(I FINALLY earned my college degree before I turned 49...).. Who really wants " instant gratification" anyway? ;) I think I'm prouder of paying every dime of tuition and books by myself over 20 years than I would have been if parents had paid my way over 4 years...(IF I had parents, which I didn't!....although I don't know that I would have been deans' list, or had a 4.0 average...I might have been "normal" and been out drinking, and going to football games...and had parents yelling that I "wasn't taking school seriously"!)

But, I've gotten off topic, again...derned ADD!!!

I called provape and explained that my son let a battery leak in my V2...that is the "old design". For $70, they will upgrade the "brains" to V2.5, any color LED....and I'm going to do that, because I like the design of the case so much. I also have the Limited Edition Cherry Red and the Dragon. I plan on keeping all of them. I've got a spare "just in case"...and when my son's favorite "Mech of the day" quits, or shorts out, or gets lots, I have one to LOAN him...so he doesn't go back to stinkies...

So, my thought on you selling YOURS...would be this: I actually WOULD like to buy a used ProVari...I want to KEEP all of MINE..and I'd like to give one to my "little sister"...I think you said yours was "black" which is good....IMHO, some of those strange paint jobs would lower the price...otherwise, I'm with ENAUD...$100-130...depending on what is included...for ME...I only need an end cap with a mini...and whether it comes with batteries or not, I'd buy my sister NEW batteries anyway...so, that isn't important to me, either. As I've discovered, a new V2.5 (ANY COLOR) is $70...so, it's going to be tough selling anything except a "Limited Edition" and not "take a huge loss"...

But, take this into consideration, too...you really aren't "losing" anything...you've extended your life, improved your (future) quality of life, and you've saved a ton of (future) money on doctors and prescriptions by vaping and not smoking. (plus the money you save daily by NOT buying cigarettes!) I see the pulmonary doc once a month ($50) and there is just ONE RX that costs me close to $200 a month...(one of EIGHT prescriptions!!)

I understand wanting a "polished stainless steel"...they are pretty...but, for the most part, ProVaris are not "limited edition" "one of a kind". If I am searching ONLY for a black mini with endcap, and I can't buy yours for what I want to pay, someone else will have another black mini available soon....

So, if having $100 is going to make your life better, sell it...if you are going to feel like you are "taking a huge loss"...keep it...OR...better yet...since it is "pristine" put it in a box with new batteries, a charger and some sample juices and give it to Mom, Gramma, Dad, Brother...etc...and be a HERO...

The brains between the V2 and V2.5 are identical.
