I started out with the cigarette sized model, took the kit back two days later. Bought an Ego-t kit, really liked that I didn't have to worry about swapping out batteries every hour. Upgraded to the ego-c kit. Tried carto's and clearos, and a DCT, turns out for me it's direct dripping on a LR 306 atty, so now I'm looking into a bottom feeder mod.

The point is, what gets you off the smokes is waht is perfect for you. What worked for me or others may or may not work for you. Many recommendations have been made and all are solid little starters. I think they are called starter kits for a reason LOL I don't think any of us has stuck with what we started with for more than a few months.

I wouldn't recommend any of those brands either. I've never used a Volt but I see it recommended so often here that I'd go with that, if I wanted a small "starter" PV.

I started with disposable e-cigs from my local smoke shop. Then I got to reading here and bought a KGO. Liked it so much I now have four kits!
Elite Vaporworks KGO Starter Kit with Boge LR Cartomizers - KGO

That is the exact kit I have and I'm happy with it. For disposables, the BLUs worked well for me to see if I liked it.

Read a little closer, that is 2 650 twist batteries. :toast: and you can get a pcc for the ego too!
No doubt the Twist is a great bargain and a fine PV. I love my Twist, but it's a big honker to stick in my pocket and at 650 mah I still need a backup on me (the 100’s are WAY too big to pocket). The PCC's for them are also larger and bring up the price.

There's no right or wrong when choosing your preferred PV size. It just boils down to what is the best fit for a particular person. I use both my Twist and Volt every day, but if I had to choose just one system I'd go with the volt because in the summertime I don't have a jacket to store the stuff in (I'm a guy so no purse...not even a man-bag :D ) and the Volt just fits so comfortably in my jeans front pocket that it's my choice for out and about vaping.

Still use my Provari every day.

Of course ease of carrying is an issue at times but if you carry some extra juice or an extra carto etc. all the time
you're lugging around stuff anyways.

I'll use a hard shelled glasses case to hold a small bottle of juice, an extra new Stardust and an extra ego battery if I'm
carrying the Provari. If I want to stealth vape or use the PV in a hazardous area the Provari goes into the case and
the ego batt. comes out.

Regardless though, convenience is a big issue as if it's not more convenient than running to the store for smokes
we may just do that! And no-one wants that! It's personal preference in the end. Whatever works best for YOU

These simply, are what works best for me.:2c:

I have the Joyetech 510 PCC Starter Kit, with the Mega cartomizers

The case charges my battery while I'm on the go

When I bought it from UrbanVapour it came with:
1 Battery
3 Mega Cartomizers
1 Case
1 USB charge cord.

I love it would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a Cigarette sized kit.
Please don't recommend a starter kit that has only one battery.
That's just not cool.

I agree. Especially with a mini. You always want to have at least 2 batteries, even if you have a 650 or 1100 ego or kgo. The last thing that you want to happen is have a dead battery. In the 3-4 hours that it takes to recharge, you will surely pick up an analog

It's great you found something that works for you.

There's no way that would work for me though. If I can't comfortably fit everything I need in my front jeans pocket it just doesn't work for me.

A couple of Volt batteries, some carto's fit just fine. Hard cases, bottles of juice and big honkin PV's don't.
Come winter time when I'm wearing a jacket...that's a different story as I'll have more pockets to fill, but for my 24/7 - 365 the more compact the better for me.

I'm not trying to argue here or change anybody's mind. As you say...what works for YOU is the best solution.
