When I got my eGo, I had recently purchased a carton of Marlboro Lights, and had 9 packs left. Well, I was bitten by the vaping bug and lost my desire for analogs very quickly.

After about 2-3 weeks of vaping, I decided that I was not going back to analogs, but I hated just throwing out my carton. So, I gave them all to a homeless guy who always hangs out at a traffic light near my office. He was very, very happy. For me, it was like I was breaking chains that had kept me captive for so many years!

So, for those who quit analogs as suddenly as I did, what did you do with your remaining supply of cigarettes?

lol isn't that kind of a negative though?

You arn't hooked so you decide to get a homeless guy hooked! haha jk

It would have been really funny if the homeless guy would have said "WTF?! I dont want these!!! You got any spare e-liquid for my PV?!?!"

I unfortunately am waiting 1 more day for my PV to get here...so I'm shamefully smoking the last bit I have :/

Consider me your recycling center for Njoy Pro, Smoking Everywhere Gold, Cloud 9, Smoke 51 Trio, and DSE103 useless batteries.
Other hardware if it’s still usable.
Those I loan out to/give to thank you.

I was only buying a pack at a time, Hadn't bought a carton in months...
So I was on my last pack when I got my first Ecig, probably 15 cigs left in it.

My wife wanted me to keep it, cuz she's an occasional smoker (when drinking or stressed). But she's only had a couple of them

After 3 1/2 months, that same opened pack is still sitting in a drawer.
Probably stale by now...LOL.

But the awesome thing is that not even once did I even think about having one of them.
Even around other smokers, I had no problem at all.

I'll probably go throw them out today..

I still have half a dozen that I put in a small flower vase. They're so dry they can't stand touching now, but I often look up on the shelf at them and just smile. That's all I want to do with them, smile....maybe an evil small smile. Cause I BEAT THEM! :D
I had a pack of them in my purse case when I started vaping, but eventually had to take a couple out occassionally to make room for another battery, another atty (I have a couple of mini's and an NPro in there, just in case.) Had to throw the last four away, they were soaked in e-juice from my little plastic needle bottle. Leaked. Gross, they were.
We gave away 10 pounds of Golden Harvest RYO to my nephews. Various boxes of tubes and a couple machines still sit in a box here somewhere. Price of the tobacco went from $12 a pound to $44 a pound in April 09.
I suppose I should thank Uncle Same and the IRS for helping me out. But I won't.

I still have a carton of Pall Mall's laying in the closet. See them everyday. Been thinking I should give them away before they turn to dust.

Tried a cigarette one time after I started vaping. Thought I was going to become ill. Threw it away and have not and will not touch one again.

Have found a local supplier (Tucson) that I know I can turn to if I have an emergency. I'm on the lookout for local suppliers - Just -In-Case- I need one in a hurry.

Thinking along the lines of house burns down and there goes my e-cig stuff. Or my purse gets stolen and every battery I own was in the purse, etc.
Dismal thoughts, aren't they?

Be Prepared is a good motto.

I was a roll your own guy so I gave what I had left to a buddy who isn't interested in quitting but wanted to try the RYO route to save money. So I gave him my full setup. He is saving about $8 bucks a day now. Plus I do believe that fresh Tobacco that doesn't have extra chemicals added has to be at least a little better for him.

I gave mine to a homeless guy too!!LOL,He is always bumming smokes in front of the store. He was happy, and I dont think its wrong. Its not like he can charge batts and buy eliquid on line.

I kinda liked the particular guy at the traffic light. He would always walk near the stopped cars carrying a rag, offering to clean windshields for spare change, So, at least he was trying to "work," instead of just panhandling.

Wow, you must have needed about 100mg e-liquid to break that habit! Out of curiosity, did you ever find an e-liquid that simulates that pure, RYO tobacco taste?

Nope, not even close. But I did find my everyday vape. It's very berry from Madvapes. $16 for 60Ml of 24mg.

Hanging out in CA for now
I didn't have any (or so I thought). I ordered my kit on Monday and picked it up at the Post Office on Thursday at Noon. On Wedensday afternoon I had bought 2 packs cause I knew the kit was coming and I didn't want to buy another carton. On the way home from the post office I reached for my analog case & it was empty. Sped the rest of the way home so I could open the kit. Lucky for me there were no cops on the route. I don't think I could have come up with a valid excuse that would have worked to get out of a ticket. Opened up the kit & I've been analog free for 29 days.

The "or so I thought" came a week later when I was cleaning out the 5th wheel getting ready for a road trip. I came across a pack with 19 in it (they were only about 3 months old :p). I really thought about lighting one up but after not having any for a week I didn't want to give in. So I went into the house, put water in a bowl and preceded to crush them all into the water until there was no possible way I could dig through the butts for just one little puff. :D

True story...
very short version.
I was about 25. Smoking on the front steps of my office building.
An old man came up to me and started talking to me about the merits of quitting.
He told me how after 20-30 years, he just went cold turkey -

...and he stuck his remaining pack on his "mantle" at eye level... where he'd have to pass them every day.

And every day he walked by them...
He snarled at them.
Cursed them.
He said "I made them my enemy!"
and he left them there for years.

He introduced himself as Mr. Piscapo -

It was Joe Piscapo's father.

Pretty cool. We talked about his son and saturday night live etc...

So, I put my remaining 3.5 packs at eye level... where I could walk by them several times a day and and tried snarling at them...

I smoked some and threw some away.

been completely free of them since March.
