What did you want (more then anything!) for Christmas, when you were a kid?

More than ANYTHING? I hated being poor, so all I really wanted was for my family to win the lottery (even though they didn't buy tickets) or to somehow magically find a huge canvas bag of cash.

It's all good. They eventually got divorced and are both much happier for it.
I wanted a Corvette! Now days, I want a giraffe! I have been wanting a giraffe for many years now.... maybe this is the year santa will bring me a giraffe!

Every year 2 things appeared on my Christmas list:
#1 For my dad to quit smoking
#2 A horse
My dad quit smoking (cold turkey) January 2007
And I volunteered at a horse rescue for 3 years (when I was 17) and then lived on my cousins ranch for 2!
Btw, I should mention that I started smoking in 2005.

some not allowed here at the ECF even Just call me sumpin Cheez-it and I'll do my best ta answer you whatever ya wanna use 
When I was around 15, I wanted an opal ring out of the Service Merchandise catalog SO FRIKKIN BAD. I remember it was $30. My family was typical of the time; one income, four girls, so there wasn't a lot to go around for Christmas. My mom asked me was I SUUUUURE? Because if I got it, it would be the only thing for me. I insisted (and didn't really believe it would my only gift)!
So. As usual, my younger sisters and I went hunting for our gifts and we found them in the basement and I FOUND MY RING!!!!
Aaaaaaaand, Christmas morning was a total letdown. I already had seen my ring, and yes, truly, there was nothing else under the tree for me. And I totally lost my ring about 6 months later.

Ah Service Merchandise. I was Department manager in several departments. What a cluster that company was. Are they even still around?
Don't think so we lost them in the our area must be 15-18 years ago .Pretty bad on service here ....but at the time ( way before target and walmarts being here it filled a niche .
