What difference in vape is there between 28g and 30 or higher?

The title says it all basically, I need to order some kanthal wire to coil up a kayfun lite clone and a igo-l. I'll be using both on an mvp2 or a vamo so I'll be sticking around 1.5ohms or so.
So is the vape any different if I have a 1.5 ohm micro coil made out of 32 or 28 gauge? I just made one out of 28 and it took a bunch of wraps to get 1.5ohms so I'm thinking I should go with a thinner wire, maybe 30?

Difference is length (and volume) of wire necessary to reach your target resistance.

If you are going for, say, 1 Ohm microcoil, 28ga wire will get you there in 8 loops, and 30ga wire will get you there in 4-5 loops.

That means that 30 ga wire will be much lighter, and the "heatsink" effect will be less, i.e. it will warm up faster, and will be more "responsive"

28 ga wire will have more evaporating surface, so it will give you more vapor. It will be less responsive, but due to the "heatsink" effect, it will heat up more evenly, and will be less likely to have hotspots.

That's pretty interesting especially the last part so a more slower heat up time is more favorable and will give you less hot spots?

There are approximately 20 billion threads on this issue. Either search, or (my favorite) buy some and find out. Worst case scenario you're out about $3

Did you wake up and decide to be an ... to someone? 20 billion threads, 4 billion posts to search hmmm.
OP ask away, learning is important in this hobby. GL

You are awesome and make it easier for a newbie like myself to feel welcome and comfortable. Ive searched snd searched and still needed help or a different explanation and there are kind people like you who are willing to help! :) if we post and someone doesn't wanna answer, then don't-right? lol...geesh

Exactly, there are many fantastic people here that are the same as me. This is a great hobby. If you ever need help feel free to pm me.
Oh, noob, such a terrible term. Try not to use it, as I mentioned, we all learn every day here and even find willing help.
Why does everyone order from tempco on ebay rather than get it from temcoindustrial direct, says its free shipping too!? I am about to create an acct and order from there-unless you know why I shouldn't?
Just easier for me with pp and I like the eBay feedback. There are a few instances where one will find a dollar or two less than on site. Such a great small company fo deal with.

I told you there are other great members. There is one now.

I shoot for 10-13 wraps to reach my target resistance when wrapping a micro coil around the mold (.055" mold in my case).

Which ever wire allows me to do this is what I select.

I have been running 1.5 ish ohm micro coils and use 28 ga for these constraints.

How did I know you would show!

Their shipping times are much faster through ebay. I bought from their site, and my order didn't end up shipping for a few weeks :)

I've ordered direct from Temco, five bucks shipped for a hundred feet!

And a quick chart for the Kanthal gauges:

Kanthal A-1 Wire Specs: (Ohms Per Inch)

•28 AWG- 0.439 Ohms/in, 0.0508 Diameter (in.)

•30 AWG- 0.696 Ohms/in, 0.0100 Diameter (in.)

•32 AWG- 1.091 Ohms/in, 0.0080 Diameter (in.)

•33 AWG- 1.383 Ohms/in, 0.0071 Diameter (in.)

•34 AWG- 1.758 Ohms/in, 0.0063 Diameter (in.)
