What do i call my e-cig?

I get tons of people asking me what am i smoking, and i always reply "Its a E-Cig" but in the back of my mind, this cant be a e-cig, and people are like "Thats way to big to be e-cig".

Yes it is a "Electronic Cigarette", but what should i call it?

I have a Full Sized Epic Storm (really big Lava Tube), all Chrome, with a 6ml tank, and a Ming tip.

So its just a maxxed out mod. but are mods called something else?

Most people won't understand PV or vaporizer etc. I just say it's a really advanced e-cig.

Technically, you can go with two accurate names for such a device. APV (Advanced Personal Vaporizer) or Tube Mod. Lavatube, Provari, V-Tube, V-Max, Z-max, Versa, Vector; these are all Tube Mods.

This is in contrast to something like the VV Gripper (like the one in your avatar) which is an APV because it is not a tube. Confused? I think mod is a stupid word because it suggests something was modified from its intended purpose, but these devices are doing their intended purpose. The word mod arose from an earlier time when the cheapest way to get a VVPV was to build one yourself from parts that were built for other purposes (usually the hobby electronics field, or even the RC field). This is why the eGo Twist is often referred to as the "Game Changer".

OR you could call it Larry. I think Larry is a fetching name, don't you? Larry the Lavatube?

I just say it's an electric cigarette. Usually a lot of questions get asked afterward, fine by me, I've converted 2 other people to it, unlike me, both have quit the real and electric cigarette within a few months. Mission accomplished I guess though, hell I might have saved 2 lives.

Or you could call it a Neurolizer or Sonic screwdriver. LOL I've tried vaporizer and PV neither registered and I got blank looks. Electronic Cig. or "this is how I quit smoking".

The sad part about all of this, is that hard-core analog smokers, they will ask and they will just tell me off. They go on about stuff like "..... cant handle the real ones", "Your crazy", "If your going to smoke why not just go all out". Stuff like that.

In my mind i just say " Well, you go smoke ur analogs, and get all the side affects, and i will smoke my 5 chemicals and maybe get heart disease or high blood pressure when im 60"

I would rather get thous 2 than get cancer and other things plus thous 2...

Some people just like there analogs and are dicks

I just say electronic cigarette. Like another poster said, they won't understand anything
else and it just adds more questions.

When they comment that it looks as big as a cigar, I tell them they make them that are
the same size as a cigarette, but the larger batteries last longer. They get that.

Then, you have the analog biters that say you've just traded one habit for another.

And the reply is, "Yep. For a better one."

In most cases I doubt if it matters what you tell folks, they'll hear what they want to hear. OTOH a lot of people will be genuinely interested - especially folks who have been trying to kick cigarettes for years & failing miserably. For the benefit of those poor souls I think a brief explanation is in order. For them I glance furtively around us, then growl quietly from the corner of my mouth, "It's a pipe bomb... got the detonator in my teeth. THEY should be here any minute now!"

Not really. I tell 'em it's a personal vaporizer, a device I use to replace smoking. If they show real interest I explain a bit more about it, then give them ECF's Web site. And from there, who knows? The seed has been planted.

PV is what I call mine.

my fiancee calls mine a crackpipe, says it looks like i am smoking one and since i was a bit of a heavy smoker i always have it in my mouth.
I just tell anyone who asks it is an ecig variant, just one that isnot a total POS like the one they push at the mall and costs much less.
