What do i call my e-cig?

Never had a name for it really, but I was toying with "nicotine inhaler". Got a Silver Bullet recently and commented that it is a big .....er... I have now named it .....er... (Sorry for the expletive, but it's the truth... )

my fiancee calls mine a ......, says it looks like i am smoking one and since i was a bit of a heavy smoker i always have it in my mouth.
I just tell anyone who asks it is an ecig variant, just one that isnot a total POS like the one they push at the mall and costs much less.

I call mine what it is, a Twist or ego etc, but if someone asks I say electronic cigarette, no point dressing it up as something different, it is what it is.

Most people won't understand PV or vaporizer etc. I just say it's a really advanced e-cig.

Especially with TSA agents...So when asked what mine is I call it "an e-cig...but better".

Assorted others...some of them I forgot their names (sorry guys!)
My 3.7 Gripper is named Lilly G.

I have the epic storm, vv gripper, and the eGo twist so i have many names to call each one. THX!

Oh now you had to make it go all complicated. An eGo C Twist is in fact a VVPV, a variable voltage personal vaporizer. It is neither tube, nor advanced since it has no display or any sort of microprocessor or anything going on - it's just a normal PV with a variable voltage circuit and a potentiometer.

I called one of my old KGOs Zeke K Go, but he died recently. He will be missed since he was my dry burner

I actually think this is a disservice to the community. Educate people as much as you can. Even if they don't smoke themselves they KNOW and LOVE someone who does and you should offer to explain it to them and how it saved your life.

Most understand "electric ciggy" as they can relate to the electric white sticks.

Nobody's obligated to go preaching about PVs, and it's a little annoying to explain over and over what they are. Plus if you tell people it "saved your life" it sounds kinda cult-ish and lessens your credibility because at that point you're using hyperbole. All I ever tell people is that it's my personal vaporizer and it's keeping me off cigarettes. If they're interested in more info, then I'll happily oblige, but I'm not about to deliver an unprompted 5-minute lecture about how I got into the hobby, the peer-reviewed literature, and my top 10 suppliers.

Well if you want a bank stare say Personal Vaporizer. Slightly better responses from Electronic Cigarette. But my fav is "This thing helped me stop smoking". Or if you really want to have fun Neurolizer (Men in Black) or Sonic Screwdriver (Doctor WHO). SEE SIG BELOW. LOL

this,,,,,if they don't know just by watching you, your best bet is to just say it's an advanced electronic cigarette. When they look surprised, smile broadly and say "they've come a ways, haven't they?"

In most cases I doubt if it matters what you tell folks, they'll hear what they want to hear. OTOH a lot of people will be genuinely interested - especially folks who have been trying to kick cigarettes for years & failing miserably. For the benefit of those poor souls I think a brief explanation is in order. For them I glance furtively around us, then growl quietly from the corner of my mouth, "It's a pipe bomb... got the detonator in my teeth. THEY should be here any minute now!"

Not really. I tell 'em it's a personal vaporizer, a device I use to replace smoking. If they show real interest I explain a bit more about it, then give them ECF's Web site. And from there, who knows? The seed has been planted.
