I am a housewife and I make as much as my husband gives me for an allowance. It's a good life, especially without kids to worry about. However, I would love to get a job. Unfortunately, the things I want to do are just too competitive for me to make any real money, so I just do them for fun.

:) sounds familiar ....

Im a Soldier in the Aussie Army. I earn around $55k a year and with my wifes small income takes it up to bout $65K a year. We went crazy when first starting out with vaping and spent $300 on our first orders. Love vaping. I had my 5yr anual medical today and told the doc i quit smoking. He was thrilled and asked me how. I pulled out my ecig and showed him and puffed away in his office and showed him. He loved it, thought it was awsome after giving him the hard sell on it and explaining everything.
He was quite supportive of it actually and in no way gave a negative view or tried to pursuade me into stoping it.

I am a systems analyst for a major retailer and sit in a cube all day. I hope to make it to six figures in the next 5 years. Unfortunately, a lot of IT jobs are still being outsourced these days. I just hope I that America will realize that when companies send jobs over seas it sounds like a great cost savings but it often ends up costing them more in the long run.

Any Cisco CCNA certified people here? I'm about to start CCNA quarter 4 (the last one) at the local tech school. I hope to find some part time work while in retirement with local companies who can use a certified network guy for installation, setup, and network troubleshooting and repair. What's the likelihood of me being able to do that without being full time?

I was a Senior Field Engineer and did similar work with hardware and software for a major company for 36 years before I retired. I thought it would be nice to get the CCNA certification and free lance during retirement.

CCNP/CCDP here. It's either a love it or hate it field to get into. Lots of time and dedication needed to maintain certifications and keep up with the fast evolution of the technology. I personally love the challenge of not being able to see or touch what it is I'm troubleshooting. Just electrical signals running down a wire or light down a strand of fiber. Did networking in the Air Force and really liked it, but spent way too much time overseas and away from the family. Best part is seeing young kids coming out of college and challenging them to do subnet masking on paper. It always gets 'em.

Currently working as a Network Engineer for a major insurance company making a comfortable living. Just hope my brain can keep up with it as I keep getting older.

I'm actually the master coordinator of intergalactic commerce. My pay scale is astonishingly high, it would make Bill Gates look like a street person in comparison. I'm the most wealthy person this side of the Milky Way. I have the resources to buy and sell entire planetary systems.

How do I get your job?!?! :p
