As the title says, what do you refer to your device as?
-Like when someone asks you what is that you have in your hand or when you tell someone, "Hold on I forgot to grab my ________! How did I do that?!"

I say PV, MVP, Vaporizer.

I do not like the connotations of associating it with a cigarette so I do not use e-cig.

Hubby calls them my "hookahs," which I hate, grr. Well, at least he doesn't say e-cig. I don't care for that moniker, either. I don't ever want anything to do with cigarettes again.

What do I call them? I just have a couple ego twist type batteries, so I just call them my "nic sticks" (to myself) or vapes. Once I get my MVP, I probably call it my MVP.

If someone has to ask chances are good they have little knowledge of them and I'll assume what they've heard in regard to e-cigs isn't good. So, with regards to that, I'll call it a personal vaporizor.

I'll gloss it all over when I hear a better name but the e-cig name, in itself is a pretty poor description of what it really is, in my opinion.

This is a tricky one. At home and around people I know I call it my vapouriser. Nobody has yet randomly asked me when out and about what I'm using but if they did I would probably say it's an electronic cigarette. Vapouriser would mean literally nothing to them.

I went out earlier and a shop I regularly go to asked me if I wanted cigarettes in addition to what I was purchasing (I always used to buy my cigs there) I said no, I don't smoke anymore. He was thrilled and asked how long, I said nearly 8 weeks. So another guy standing nearby said hey over Christmas you'll have a few and tell yourself you'll give up in the new year.

I said no I won't I use electronic cigarettes now and I love them. I didn't know what else to call them it came out automatically. Thinking about it now, if I'd used some other name for them I would have had to give long explanations of what it's all about which would bore the ... off non smokers like the shopkeeper and probably the smoker who chipped in too.

I almost always say "PV" or "[name of device]" when referring to mine. If someone asks me what it is, I'll explain that it does the same thing the little cig-alikes do, only worlds better and with more options, etc. When I was using the 808 batteries, I called it an e-cig. I sometimes did that with my ego batteries. But with the SVD (and now MVP 2), I just can't. It feels weird to try to call those e-cigs.

I am more than happy to explain to people what it is when I refer to it as something other than an e-cig/electronic cigarette and let them know where they can go to get one. With a decent explanation of what it is and the health benefits there are associated in using it, I may help the vaping community in recruiting another ex-smoker. It may be on my own agenda but I refer to it in other terms just so I can possibly influence them to ask me about it and spread the word of the greatness that we call vaping.
