Weird, I have both the MVP 2 and the Vamo and, even though the MVP is a great device, i find the Vamo much more comfortable, and have had none of the issues you describe
And, as the poster above me stated, I do not like that you can´t set the W lower than 6 in the MVP.
On the plus side, you can read lower Ohms with the MVP, in case you build your own setups. The Vamo will just give you a "low load" message, below 1.2

Do you have one of the shiny chrome plated ones, or the brush finished stainless steels ones?
The stainless steel isn't going to have thread stripping problems, but brass/copper is soft metal.

Get yourself an MVP2....Some have suggested to get an MVP...and I'm sure they mean that in a generic sense but The original MVP doesn't have as many cool features as the newer MVP2....Someone over on the MVP2 thread had a link for 40bucks shipped. I own one and it is very compact and powerful. I am also a very heavy vaper and I get two days in between charges. I could go on and on but I wont, I'll just say get a MVP2

Maybe after years they can become better than the provaris. Let's wait few years see if they are even half as accurate and durable as the provari.

Really? REO's have been out for over 3 years. I have been using the same one daily for over 3 years and never had a single issue with it. It is still going just as strong as the day I bought it.

As for durability, lets stand side by side next to a swimming pool and throw our mods in and see which one is durable enough to survive.....

I second the thoughts on MVP2 - I have two itaste MVP2's - great device for $40's or even $60s IMHO - adjust the watts and rock on - silver finish doesn't show fingerprints - connector very rugged.

Only cons I can think of: 11 watts max (there are devices at 30 watts), base is tippy, when 2600mah battery dies good only for spare parts. Inside looks like two pancake 2600mah batteries with a flex cable connection - but hay for $42 delivered to my door it can't be beat.

Ok I really really want a Provari, just can't afford it right now. What would be the next best device to the Provari? I have been looking around but just haven't heard enough about the others to know what to buy. I am tired of daily issues of leaky, guggling tanks. Please, Also list your preference on tanks too, Thanks for your help!

get verified dhock50 ... then cruise the classies for a used Provari ... finally, top off with IBTanked

I bought a Sigelei Zmax Telescope V3 to back up my Provari and it's been a great vape. There's also a version with a beveled top that looks like a Provari. There's lots of great VV/VW mods out these days that weren't available when the Provari was king. Provari still holds the crown for stateside service and warranty repair. You don't lose your investment if it breaks (and they all do at some point). Whatever you buy, make sure it's stainless steel.

Best I can tell, V3 had both flat and rounded head designs. I haven't seen the rounded head in V5 yet, although Alibaba advertises them, but shows only the flat head in pictures.
